I don't know how I missed this thread, or indeed the whole event, until last night. I was reading another thread on TP books and noticed people talking about him in past tense. I thought it was so odd, so I googled, and there it was. I bawled last night and have bawled again today.
Terry Pratchett opened my eyes to the world by showing it to me through Discworld. My moral and common sense principles are mostly judged through 'What would Granny/Nanny/Sybil do?' The world is a much sadder place without him, and my own life sadder for knowing no more of his wisdom can be shared.

As far as i can tell, there are 3 books still to be released,
The new Discworld, "The Shepherd's Crown" which has been ready to publish for a while.

The 4th long earth book, "The Long Utopia" which was finished "recently"

And the 5th long earth book which has the basic draft storyline written.

Techy question - that GNU coding thing for websites - does it have to be your own website, or can you do it if you have a webpage via a provider? I have an online blog (very overdue and update) on wordpress and I'd love to pay tribute to STP.

I've experimented with adding it to my gmail signature as instructed. And I now have the Chrome extension which lights a lantern on my toolbar when I visit a page sending the GNU Terry Pratchett message.

Thank you MrsCakes I have just added it for firefox. It's the clacks rather than a lantern.

Clacks are lanterns aren't they?

I don't have a site, ir reddit and they can't add it to fb headers, but the lovely person running it is setting me up with my own space on the gnu thingy to keep it going. I think lilacs would be lovely, or a witches hat.

They could easily do a hat, as they have those for halloween. Maybe a wearing one? [hdragon]
Bit mean not to do the lilacs. They could just for the day change the colour of the normal to all purple, that would look quite lilac-ish.
