The snug is now expanded and open for anywenches wanting to blether away without inflicting their ramblings on the innocent Hmm participants of Telly Addicts.

Musketeer worship is still a pre-requisite to entry of course....

Angry at the rats helen. Inconvenient Cat needs to direct his skills to inconveniencing rats, rather than you. If he/she needs back up should I send ScaredyCat over? She has an excellent hunting pedigree.

Baddz · 16/01/2015 14:36

No worries Fancy - they're both excellent hunters, they just can't be arsed going on rat stake-outs in the cold - can't say I blame them.

Unusual catches that have been brought in to date have been the moorhen, the mole, & the grass snake, as well as sundry mice/rabbits/garden birds in varying states of dismemberment. My last cat once came sauntering up to the house with a very impressive mexican mustache, which on closer inspection turned out to be a live weasel!

Go Badders Grin Alibabs did you leave DS in front of the TV this morning?

Shock A weasel Shock, I know they're small, but they're vicious aren't they? Mine mostly stick to mice, voles & birds. We get the occasional frog & one time, a baby squirrel, but I keep them in at night, mostly to stop FancyCat from fighting the local tom.

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/01/2015 16:46

so did you have sexytimes in the hot bath badders, or was that before?

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/01/2015 16:46

Sexytimes before the bath I mean.

Baddz · 16/01/2015 16:46

Before :)

MadamedeChevreuse · 16/01/2015 16:47

Ah.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 16:49

Exactly. He just dumped it on the floor. gazed up at me for praise, and lumped a big paw on top of the sodding thing when it raised it's head and hissed at him. Then looked all "weasel? what weasel?" I just backed off going "Clever cat, kill the weasel...."

That's also the one who also nearly brought home a particularly thick pheasant (it appeared to think it could hunker down and be invisible in 2 inches of grass.) I spoiled that game by walking up to the pheasant until it bottled it and squawked off.

FancyFancy · 16/01/2015 17:02

particularly thick pheasant Grin

Round here we have kamikaze squirrels - one tried to charge ScaredyCat who was in it's way on the fence. Dumb idea, we call her ScaredyCat because of how she is with other cats, not prey.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/01/2015 10:55

Bit of snow floating arond this morning, not enough to settle, but DS went outside to catch some on his tongue anyway Grin

And off for a day of family stuff.....

FancyFancy · 17/01/2015 11:16

Snow here too, thin layer settled on the ground. Fortunately it seems to have stopped now or I'd have a very grumpy DS on my hands. He's going out later with some friends (including a girl I think he's keen on Shock ) & if there's a chance the buses will be disrupted I won't let him go or he could get stranded. Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't start again.

Lyndie · 18/01/2015 14:09

Afternoon all.

Wee drop of snow here. We've been on a walk to a country park, abbey and palace and it was beautiful!!

Any blob twins around? Cup is in use!! I'm working tomorrow morning and am planning to keep using but take tampons with me just in case!!

FancyFancy · 18/01/2015 15:01

Blob twin here! How's the cup working out? Good idea to take back up with you I think, takes the pressure off Grin

Lyndie · 18/01/2015 15:43

Getting it in today is fine, day 1. Something is not quite right though and I can't work out what! I'm sure it just takes getting used it.

FancyFancy · 18/01/2015 15:50

Day 3 here, but that seems to mean less and less now. Think I'm getting into peri-menopause territory & everything is a bit less predictable than I'm used to. Glad I'm using the mooncup, as it copes better with this than tampons would.

When you say something not quite right, do you mean comfort or leakage or something else?

Lyndie · 18/01/2015 17:34

Bit of both Fancy. Confused

Peri-menopause sounds fun.

Great being a woman!! Grin

FancyFancy · 18/01/2015 18:02

I know, I haven't got anything to complain about really, not when you hear what some women go through. I've been spoiled by having mostly predictable & average periods & symptoms for years (ok decades Grin), so it's not that I've suddenly get awful symptoms or anything, it's more like being a teenager again when things are not quite so regular & there's a greater chance of being caught unprepared!

Re the cup, it seems like there's a lot of variation in how high or low people have them, so a little trial & error may be needed for comfort. Have you left the stem on? I wear mine quite low & had to cut it all off. For me, if I put it in too low for my preference, it only just less comfortable as I move around. I find it hard to avoid all leakage when flow is at it's heaviest, but anything significant that requires more than a liner to cope with is usually due to me not getting the position/suction quite right (cos I tried to do it in a big hurry, or didn't concentrate on what I was doing Grin )

FancyFancy · 18/01/2015 18:05

not just, only gets less comfortable FGS
