There are some really nasty viral things going around, DH and I have both had something which has gone on for other a month - cough, cold, DH's ear has been bad, my sinuses have been so sore for the last week. Every time we think we are getting better it seems to mutate and we get another variation of the symptoms.

My dc are always ill over winter...they are both asthmatic so when they get viruses they seem to last longer and make them more ill iyswim?

We are all asthmatic too so I know what you mean - DS1 had quite a bit of time off school in the run up to Christmas because he was just worn out with the wheezing and coughing and resulting lack of sleep.

My car is fixed, yay! It broke down on Christmas Day when we were on our way to see DH's family, including terminally ill FIL. The rescue guys were amazing and got us home quickly enough that we just about made it to our destination before dark, but bloody hell it was stressful :( They having finally fixed it and brought it back just now. :) :)

It's just a bad period. But they all are, sadly. Hey ho.
Ds1 made it to the end of term but ds2 was off the last 3 days.
Dh is away this week with work so no doubt hey will be ill whisk the is away...that's usually what happens!
Taking mum to solicitor tomorrow - should complete on the house next Monday!!
