The snug is now expanded and open for anywenches wanting to blether away without inflicting their ramblings on the innocent Hmm participants of Telly Addicts.

Musketeer worship is still a pre-requisite to entry of course....

DS i. bed, flops on chair....

Alibabs, love the laundry update, but sorry to hear about Dad. Were you supervision the play date? Our play dates look after themselves Gin

Wenchy hugs for all.

Death in Paradise is recording, awaiting DH to come home to watch it.

DS2 still awake. Again.

Also, can I ask how difficult is it to remember to empty the dishwasher when you're (DS1) asked by someone on the phone (me earlier today) to do it, you then have to explain where the on/off button is (yes really) in a painful conversation, listen to them switch it off and then you say now empty it, love you, bye? Because as of 30 minutes ago he hadn't done it because he forgot! Top of his year/nearly top for almost everything but can't remember to empty a dishwasher when he's standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT!

I'm getting into my pyjamas, getting a brew and watching the last part of North and South.

Wine Flowers or Cake to all those with lack of diagnoses, children still awake, feeling meh or family worries.

Have finally sat down after a last minute cake panic (required by DD for school tomorrow). She sprang the news on me about 8.30 tonight after I'd been to the shops earlier in the evening on the way back from football. There's not too much you can do with only one egg (well not that she liked anyhow, ginger cupcakes are bloody gorgeous). Cherry flapjacks are now cooling

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/01/2015 22:03

Blowing a hooley outside... (waiting for power to go off!)

oooooh Wolf Hall trailer. Have sold it to DH on the basis that it's like GoT based on actualy history stuff. Might not have mentionned probable lack of women whose clothes fall off... Grin

Thanks for the reminder helen, I've just set sky+ to record it. I do like Damian Lewis & historical drama, so this looks good.

FurFoxAke · 16/01/2015 07:28

Hello all!

Wow nonny just.... wow. That was amazing. Are you an actual RL writer?

ali sorry to hear about all your worries Sad take care of yourself as well as others too though
badderz I'm starting bootcamp with BIWI on Monday. Am happy and scared Grin
I'll also be doing six weeks six pack, but without the six weeks and/or six pack. I want it to be something I can do a few times a week, carefully until I feel stronger in that area and then hopefully step it up with the shred or something in the end.

Hope you are all happy and well? I'm off to read nonny again get the kids off to school.

ChaiseLounger · 16/01/2015 07:47

morning everyone.
hugs to Ali and bads.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/01/2015 09:36

Morning Wenches - woohoo it's Friday! Grin

Got a bit more sleep last night, think I might be over the worst of the cold

Helen I do have to supervise, although I try and keep my distance as much as possible. DS1 struggles socially and if left to it will just ignore people and do his own thing, and then be upset at being on his own... Also DS2 wants to join in, which is fine up until the point he gets upset and starts to hit the visitor like he would his brother. So I don't go far Grin

DH is working from home, he's just made me a nice coffee, and I had an extra hour in bed while he did breakfasts, lunchbox etc. Lovely man.

First load of washing already on.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 09:57

Ah - bad luck Ali DS is an only so we get no sibling interruptions on play dates and they're fine to be left to get on with stuff (apart from last week with the "Be careful with those light sabers" and vomiting incident...) So I luuurrrve play dates me time. Glad to hear the cold is getting a bit better though.

Foxy what is BIWI? And six week six pack. I need to try and get fit too (but not lose weight or Dr will be cross with me).... Planking has long since vanished after it started to make my back ache - think I need to do more than just plank!

No washing here today, I don't think.

FurFoxAke · 16/01/2015 10:29

BIWI does a low carb bootcamp, here on MN, the next one is starting on Monday. I am doing it to lose weight, but when I eat low carb, I feel so much better.
6 weeks 6 pack is a jillian wotserface DVD. She also does the 30 day shred.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 10:33

Oh. Maybe I need to just get on the exercise bike then - that doesn't require any new DVDs or lego-free floorspace to exercise in!

Might tell DH about BIWI and see if he wants to do it (since he does most of the cooking, he can faff about with that Grin ) whereabouts on MN is it?

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 10:49

Chaise, you still chilling?

OP posts:
FurFoxAke · 16/01/2015 10:53

You would need to skip to the 'good bit' of it as you don't want to lose weight. Grin it's mainly about eating clean at that point I think.
Hang on...

FurFoxAke · 16/01/2015 11:00

bootcamp

However as you don't need to lose weight, you'd have to ask what you should eat as it's more about health I guess?
I don't know, I haven't got to that point yet... Blush

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 11:13

oh... do they do menu plans/ideas, or is it just mutual support and encouragement?

Mwahahahahahahah the Prep thread says:
^In the first two weeks you are not allowed:
Alcohol^
Well, that's DH out then Grin

Oh well. I just need to get on that bike and get fit.....

OP posts:
Baddz · 16/01/2015 11:17

I will be joining you foxy :)

FurFoxAke · 16/01/2015 11:26

There is a recipe thread helen and lots of help too!

Yay badderz we can whinge to each other when carb flu strikes.... Grin

I am determined to wear my old jeans. Determined I tells ya.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 11:31

I'm emailed a link to DH with recipe links and stuff. I may be going low carb anyway Hmm
(Apart from buying sneaky high carb things and stuffing my face when DH isn't around) Grin

How are you doing today Badders*?

OP posts:
MadamedeChevreuse · 16/01/2015 11:46

Morning!

chaise how are you? Has everything gone alright?

I've always wanted to know... Who, or what, TAF is BIWI?

FancyFancy · 16/01/2015 11:46

Morning everyone, glad you're feeling a bit better alibabs, hope all other ill one's are too.

Playdates? , I used to dread those with DS, they always needed supervision as they got over-excited. DD was much easier, although she had one friend who would always play up when her mum arrived to collect her. I had to bite my tongue an awful lot (didn't always succeed Blush )

Did you find planking gave you any benefits helen? I need to strengthen my stomach muscles, I feel my posture needs a boost, & it's tempting as it seems a quick exercise to do?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 11:49

Fancy Planking was good, but I found that it was making my back sore after a while - I think I needed to do more than just plank, to build up other supporting muscles too.

Morning Madame

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 16/01/2015 12:08

Thanks helen, that makes sense about other muscles. Whenever I've tried it, I didn't feel I was working all the muscles in that area. I do need to start something though, so may try it out & look into other exercises for the other muscles. I may see if I can get DS to join in, he's got all tall & gangly lately & I don't want him to get into the habit of slouching. He's enjoying his new height as he gets to look down on people (especially me!), so good posture will make him feel even taller.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/01/2015 13:37

Sodding rats chewed into chicken house last night after their food. Have been cutting up biscuit tins to protect the door...

and back to work....
