The snug is now expanded and open for anywenches wanting to blether away without inflicting their ramblings on the innocent Hmm participants of Telly Addicts.

Musketeer worship is still a pre-requisite to entry of course....

I'm not sure if I mentioned earlier (in the month) but I went back to the hospital for my two year check on Thursday. I can't quite believe it's been nearly two years....it's gone so fast. Seems like yesterday sometimes.

I had an x-Ray which is 'as expected for the amount of damage' so that's good. I did push though because my pain has moved from round the outside (bum cheek) to the inside ( I like to call it groinular). After closer inspection of the X-ray, the consultant said that of course there's arthritis now but also that the pins that fixed the ball part back together are slightly protruding, which means that when I move my hip the pins may be scraping the socket Envy < vom face.

Got to wait to see if the cold's making it worse or if there is a problem. If there is, they can re-operate to take the pins out. Joy.

Anyway, wanted to share here, not main perve thread (it is a passion killer). No sympathy or fuss needed, but you've been here with me for a long time and wanted to tell you Smile

Gentle hugs for you Flopsy.

Homework hell with DS2 today. Yippee.

FancyFancy · 18/01/2015 20:18

Flowers flopsy, sounds as though you handled that well.

Baddz · 18/01/2015 20:29

Oh flops.
You poor love
Sounds painful!
X

Flopsy28 · 18/01/2015 20:38

It sounds gross to me, and now, when it hurts I just think of scrapy pins on bone Shock

Lyndie · 18/01/2015 21:03

Ouch Floppers. What happens next then?

Thanks again Fancy. I've given up for today but it was a partial success on day 1!!!

Flopsy28 · 18/01/2015 21:11

If it continues to be bad, phone the hospital, otherwise I've got another appointment in July (FFS) when he'll arrange another X-ray, and possible CT scan. He said he'd be happy to operate and remove the pins as they've done their job. You might be able to shed some light on his next comment though lyndie... He asked if I already had children and if I'd finished. I gave DH a withering look and said "yes, apparently". So then the doc said "that makes it easier to operate". I just nodded and said an effectual Good. I has already sobbed though so just wanted to get out!!!

Lyndie · 18/01/2015 21:34

What an unusual comment to make from him Floppers! They might be thinking about surgery that uses CT scans during the procedure, that could affect your fertility or maybe it's that they are thinking about your pelvis and fusing a bit maybe? If you were thinking about having more children perhaps they'd avoid that particular operation?

I don't think they're planning on going through the vadge! Grin

Hello wenches, can't face main thread, too knackered.

Floppers bosomy snuggles my love. Do go back if the pain doesn't get better, if the Dr is prepared to do something then it isn't a wasted trip.

Busy weekend here, been to see FIL and done shopping for holiday. I've also pulled my back, DS2 launched at me for a hug and I caught him awkwardly and felt my back spasm all the way across the bottom. Dad - retired Dr - has had a prod around and doesn't think i've bust a disc, but DH is away tomorrow night and I can't even think about being able to lift either of the kids. FMB :(

I think I must try a mooncup. My periods are getting closer together - period started last Saturday night, massively heavy for 2 days, then a pause, then 2-3 days of v v light flow. And now, one week later, I'm ovulating again. WTF??

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/01/2015 22:49

Oh alibabs - poor you. I'm still struggling with the pulled ribs (had very ineffective game of piggy in the middle with DS today since I can't easily reach for the ball!) Hope your back sorts itself quickly, esp. with holiday coming....

really ought to shift stupid cat of me and go to bed...

Oh no to all suffering wenches Sad

Hope you're feeling better soon.

FancyFancy · 19/01/2015 09:07

Flowers all round although it sounds like strong painkillers would be of more use.

I find a mooncup good for any unpredictability alibabs, no trying to guess which size of tampon to use & it can be put in 'just in case' if there's a chance of your period starting, but you're not quite sure - very useful if you're out & about.

It's bloody cold.
A few flurries here!

MadamedeChevreuse · 19/01/2015 13:22

Flowers and soothing massages to flops, ali and helen. Whats that, mediaeval doctor from ep 3? No, leeches will NOT be required. Get ye tae fuck!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/01/2015 14:31

Grin If the dentist suggests a leech then I'm out of there.... (Unless he promises my tooth will never hurt again afterwards)

OP posts:
Flopsy28 · 19/01/2015 19:23

Thanks everyone, I shall accept all of tithe flowers and massages. Thank goodness you got rid of leech-man madame!

ali, flipping women and their backs!! Are we programmed to suffer? It seems whatever size or health, many women suffer so badly. I really hope you haven't slipped a disc, that feeling of 'something going' is dreadful. That's the last thing you need on top of caring for FIL and sorting a holiday.

LetUsPrey · 19/01/2015 19:27

Hope you're now pain free Helen. In fact, that goes for all the wenches.

Flopsy I saw on t'other thread that you've got some new music to listen to, my lovely Paella amongst it. Are you enjoying him ? I wish I was . Do you recommend the Hozier album? I'm tempted.

No snow here although there had been some where I work.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/01/2015 20:36

Tooth ok so far, ribs still not right. Inconvenient Cat providing unecessary heat pack on knee.

MadamedeChevreuse · 19/01/2015 20:43

Have you tried chiro helen? Sorted my buggered ribs out after last winters hacking chest infection. I need to get some for my neck - it is also totally buggered.
