Zombie continues her cancer journey after chemo

The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Thank you! Christmas is a small affair for us and soon over (DCs not mad keen on it being overdone) so no rack of lamb, big bird, potato peeling mountain or the other traditions I grew up with. (sniff) I'll be enjoying all your updates of feasts, penile unwrapping and gatherings, though. :)

Allalone (just an aside, could you consider a new year name change, it seems like a sad name and you aren't a sad person)

Anyway, I'm afraid clinkalissimo is an invention of mine which I haven't yet shared with Nigella.

I have been told by a very dear friend that there is no 'k' in Italian. I was of course distraught to discover this and considered changing it to clincalissimo.

But that looked like clinical, which I didn't like, or clinch, which I didn't mind so much ( shut up magi). So, because life's complicated enough, I decided to just live with the mistake

Ho Ho Ho!!! Happy Christmas everyone.

I'm leaving home early (ish) tomorrow morning. I need to pick up a prescription, have a MaccyD, do some very last minute shopping and be at the hospital by 1.30 for my next Herceptin cycle. When I'm finished at the hospital I'm heading over to my in-laws where I'm staying until Boxing Day.

We are practically all ready for our massive Xmas feasting and celebrations (what a lie!). To my eternal shame, we have not yet got a tree. Nor dd's main present. I have been allowing dh to set the pace of our preparations. It is unlikely to happen again.

Lovely day here, went to see DH's aunt who will be 101 next year & she is in cracking form. Looking better than she did on her 100th birthday!!

It was a 4 hour round trip & got home in time for a wee lunchtime drink, followed by a snooze followed by good food & mucho clicnharissimo.

Hope your bubbly haze continues, Zombie & may none of the DBF team have a 'n'eadache' tomorrow (or they will be back to the gin lines for more practice!!!)
