The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Zombie have you done your Xmas shopping? , I still have a few things to get but mostly for my kids and theirs and dh who is proving a bloody hard task this year. But nearly there now, I have just written all my cards, so that's another job done. Next week I have to make all the different parts of the family their mince pies. My mum used to do it and when she died somehow I took over and it's now my job ! About 9 dozen all together.

Cat update. Vet now dosent think it's poison, he thinks is a kidney defect that has been there since they were born. Second cat now getting very poorly too.

No further updates on cats here yet so not sure what is happening.
Went to a huge market yesterday, took 3 and a half hours to get round it. Was 70 miles from here so by the time we got home I was knackered , still managed to buy a couple more gifts. Was very cold though.
Hope everyone else has nearly completed all the shopping I still have a couple more to get. I started in October and vowed I would not be shopping in Dec. Wrong ! I still am !

Update on cats. The most ill one has been allowed home for tonight. There is no hope. He will die in days or at the most few weeks, the other one will go the same way. The first one has to go back tomorrow for catheter removal and to tell vet how he has been at home tonight. I suppose if he is very poorly tonight. The vet will pts . My poor niece is so upset.

Would there be something to be said for calling it a day? If their days are numbered and they are only going to deteriorate?

It's heartbreaking.

I think personally I would be considering it now for the most ill cat, but I'm sure the vet will say if he thinks it's time to do it. I suppose it depends how he has been tonight. I'm not sure why he has a catheter Oh just thought probably because kidneys aren't working properly. I have to say they are lovely cats.its awful that they will both die and I wonder how many more that were in the same litter have the same thing.

Lin, so sorry to hear about the cats, but if it was me, I would find that a wee bit easier to deal with than them having been poisoned. Still heartbreaking to lose them though :(. Your poor niece, especially right on Christmas as it's 'a marker' every year.

So sorry to hear sad cat news.

Thinking of you, Zombie and hope you are resting andrecovering, and that there is some and and of course soon some and good company and some good times to your days, between appointments and working on the other things.

I'm off to see my oncologist and then going on to my niece's house for the night.

I saw my oncologist this afternoon. He confirmed that the MRI showed that the Tax had shrunk the liver mets. I will continue with Herceptin indefinitely as well as the Exemestane. At this point there's nothing else on offer except regular CT and MRI scans. As soon as something new shows up we'll look at more chemo.

I asked about prognosis. After all the usual disclaimers about each case being different, etc. he told me that given my history and profile the evidence indicates 9 - 12 months.

Obviiously I hope to do better than that but I just have to take it one step at a time.

Don't really have anything constructive to say (i didn't want to read and ignore) except that, from what I've read on your posts, you're a determined fighter and I hope you prove him wrong!!!!!!!

I'm so glad you've got company in RL as, to hear such a prognosis out loud must have been a shock.
