julie have u heard that people who r with a sole rep agency cannot enter competition?

marymay · 27/09/2006 14:17

hi yummymummy...good thanks.it was a re shoot, they had done it the day before with three boys age 6 8 and 9. the eight year old was so hyper they didnt get the pictures they wanted .they called back the other two boys and my ds took the place off the third boy.saying that the photographer made them all a bit hyper he played really loud music and was shouting at them things like i'll buy you a playstation if you give me a great picture and i'll give you a tenner if this is the one.but ds loved it.it was for pyjamas.

julie4travel · 27/09/2006 14:19

mimi- no where did you hear that?

Just wondered if you'd all spotted this in the rules:

  • The winner of the Miss Teen British Isles title must not be under a sole agency contract with any agency.

Also:

  • The winner further acknowledges that all rights for any appearances, endorsements, modelling, promotions, speaking engagements, acting roles, etc. resulting from winning the Miss Teen British Isles title shall belong exclusively to Miss British Isles Ltd.
  • The National winner must be available for all personal appearances and modelling / promotional contracts offered to her by Miss British Isles Ltd and their associate clients and agents over the next 24 months.

Hi people, we were supposed to do a casting on Monday for Littlewoods but unfortunately Abi was poorly so we couldn't make it, always seems to be the case at the moment.

Been reading through the posts about this pageant and i'm going to be completely honest in saying that I don't like the sound of it. Does anyone know what will be expected of their child once they are there, will it be in front of a crowd etc I think these are all things that need to be considered as 'pageants' are normally about alot more than turning up and receiving an award. Is this something you really want to put your child through?? Having watched progs on American pageants I'm very wary of these kinds of things coming to the uk. I'm not trying to offend anyone but felt i needed to put my two pence in on this subject

mimi1uk · 27/09/2006 14:20

does this only apply to miss or all im not sure, these are the rules of the competitions?

julie4travel · 27/09/2006 14:21

mimi - each time i had been trying to get the rules it just said rules coming through on the site, where did you get that info?

OP posts:
mimi1uk · 27/09/2006 14:21

ah just looked again the rules are coming soon for the mini, ones, sorry!

mimi1uk · 27/09/2006 14:22

they was for the olders ones, some one on not a pushy mum posted it
i wonder whether it will be the same tho!

kerryarron · 27/09/2006 14:23

Is anyone with UA? What is there assessment like and do you recommend them as an agency? I have applied for both my boys - don't know if they will want them though!

julie4travel · 27/09/2006 14:24

mimi wonder if we need to ring before posting it off

i still recon it could be a good experience. I think this one will be better than ones like modelsearch etc when that is hundreds of kids in competition to get a place with a modelling agency
