Ouchie! I had one of those although it wasn't that big! I seen to remember thinking about eating lemon helped as it stimulate saliva production.

Allalonenow · 16/07/2014 22:29

Oh I had that years ago, quite uncomfortable, they washed out the duct for me at the Dental Hospital in a nearby town, and luckily it has never recurred.

You just don't need it at the moment!

Kind thoughts to you Thanks

LuisSuarezTeeth · 16/07/2014 22:42

Ooof. Ow.

Um, I've been around a while years under various names and mostly don't post on your threads Zombie

Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you. I can never say anything as well as other people do.

Thanks
mummylin2495 · 16/07/2014 23:06

Oh no Zombie, I hope it's not too painful. Is this to do with your treatment or something entirely separate ? Will you have to have anything done or will it just go on it's own ? As if you don't have nough on your plate .Thanks

IamtheZombie · 16/07/2014 23:50

Thanks all.

I've had this several times. It never lasts more than a few days at most. Eventually the stone will dislodge and all will be well. At least it won't get infected thanks to the Ciprofloxacin.

Luis, don't be a stranger. Just come and talk shite to distract me. Wink

Hope the parotoid gland is going down today. And that you are feeling as OK as possible.

mummylin2495 · 17/07/2014 15:37

Hi Zombie, here's hoping there is an improvement all round today. I have certainly learnt some things from your thread, I have never heard of that gland before ! I have now googled it so a bit more informed.
Did you have an apt with someone today or have I got that mixed up ?

ljny · 17/07/2014 21:32

Oh gosh, zombie, what a pain.
That parotid gland really needs to back off - you have enough on your plate.

Sending nasty gerr'off vibes to your gland and the chemo aches & pains.

Feel better. xx

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 17/07/2014 23:40

Ouch, that looks like it hurts, hope it buggers off soon.

Have you got some visitors at the week-end?

You need people to wait on you and pop your corks Grin

Allalonenow · 17/07/2014 23:48

Hope you have been a bit more comfortable today Zombie. Are you managing to eat? I seem to remember the pain was always worse after eating.
If you can't eat, just drink champers Grin.

Hope you get some rest tonight.

CaptChaos · 18/07/2014 07:35

Hope you are feeling better today Zombie

Thinking of you

Thanks
mummylin2495 · 18/07/2014 18:55

Hi Zombie, hope you are much improved today and that your gland has now gone back to normal. How are the injections going or have they stopped now ?

ChickyEgg · 18/07/2014 19:18

Hope you have had a better day today, Zombie Flowers

LuisSuarezTeeth · 18/07/2014 19:45

Thinking of you and thought I'd talk a bit of shite, as promised.

Every year I tell my clients how to keep cool, drink plenty, tips 'n' tricks.

How come I can't do it for myself? I'm a sweaty dishrag today Grin

Anyway I hope the gland has retreated for you and you're staying cool yourself. Good wishes x

Barbie1 · 18/07/2014 20:42

Hi zombie

Just caught up with all the news after a busy three weeks...

I'm back in the uk after sorting out housing, schools and hospitals in kl for the big move in sept.

Home to spend to time with my dm.

Hope you are feeling better, that block gland doesn't loom much fun!

Big hugs...

IamtheZombie · 18/07/2014 22:24

Evening all.

Thank you, fella. Those are lovely!

magi, mummy, ljny, Bee and Allalone. The parotid gland was still on full rampage yesterday. It really went mad when I ate and I had a couple of very painful hours. I also slept 18 hours yesterday. That (fingers crossed) seems to have done the trick.

Today has been a good day, Capt, mummy, Chicky, Luis and Barbie. I've been watching the news on telly, had a long soaky bath, gave myself the WORST manicure and pedicure ever and went shopping. The parotid gland has sorted itself out and I was able to enjoy dinner.

Enjoy spending time with your DM, Barbie.

ZombieHugsâ„¢ to all. xxx

Zombie, I will gladly join your group.
Do you have any plans for the weekend, or will it be a peaceful rest kinda thing?
How long is current chemo cycle? My DH had chemo tablets, think it was to save the NHS cleaning up more sick.
Whilst waiting with the masses to go in for radiotherapy, Steve managed to be sick in a woman's open handbag, she was very kind, luckily.
Thought that make you giggle.
