It's me bewitched not you. For some reason I thought Zombie had decided to do her tax return to take her mind of things Blush As if anyone has ever done that in the history of chemo Hmm

(Taxotere would have been the inteeligent person's assumption)

I don't know what's up with my brain this summer, I'm just going to put my foot in my mouth and leave it there. Sorry Zombs! Sleep well Flowers

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/08/2014 09:19

Ah, thanks for explanation.

Tax Return would have been preferable

ljny · 28/08/2014 13:07

Hope today is better, zombie.

How did the onc appointment go?

(More importantly, did you get a Maccy D?)

mummylin2495 · 28/08/2014 14:06

Hope your apt went as you wanted it to Zombie . Did you manage to fit a breakfast in before your apt ?

IamtheZombie · 28/08/2014 15:49

Oh, arse.

Arse, I have misled you. Sad Blush My instructions should have said key, NOT key.

Moving swiftly along...

My oncology clinic appointment went well. I met a new consultant oncologist who seems very nice.

Echocardiogram results were confirmed as fine. The dosage for my next treatment is being increased to 75mg/m² which is the dosage I started with. My bone marrow stimulating injections are also being increased from 3 days to 5 days.

He also confirmed that I will have a CT scan soon after the last treatment to check how the tumours on my liver are.

I had my MaccyD breakfast on the way home and it was especially tasty today!

I've had a 3 hour nap and awoke feeling very refreshed.

Happy to see your cardio gram was fine. I hope you not react to the increase of your chemo dose like you did the first time. But today I am happy to see that you are not feeling too bad and also that you managed to get your breakfast ! Very important in your trips to hospital I think. Sleep well tonight

ArsenicyOldFace · 29/08/2014 01:29

My instructions should have said key, NOT key.

That explains it Smile

Subtle revenge for mentioning your tax return, no doubt Grin

Very pleased to hear your cardiac scan was clear Smile

IamtheZombie · 30/08/2014 12:11

Afternoon.

It's been a quiet couple of days so nothing new to report.

I'm feeling well all things considered. So, I'm running out of excuses not to be productive. Grin

Hi Z.

I think if you want to do nothing, you should do nothing, conserve your strength and enjoy feeling well Smile

I'm running round with fragmented list, mainly nagging kids to sort all their stuff, ready to put house on the market next week.
V. exciting.

Our friend 'in the shade' sends love Zombie.

xxx Flowers

IamtheZombie · 30/08/2014 18:36

Bee, I'll have you know I have been productive today! Three loads of washing done.

Good luck with the house.

Please return the love.

Have also had a productive day today - got DH to chuck all sorts of assorted junk out: 3 dead keyboards, 2 dead monitors, 2 pairs of totally crap jeans etc.

Yay for good days!

Only got one (small) load of washing done, however.

Think of you every day, (TM) Zombie!

PS BBW - house on market sounds most exciting - where are you moving to???

mummylin2495 · 31/08/2014 01:16

Glad to see that you are feeling relatively well. You have been busy doing all that washing ! You are on the homeward track now Zombie, and you bloody well deserve to be.sleep well

iklboo · 31/08/2014 20:51

Hi Zombie. Glad you're feeling OK. Hope there's been some sunshine for you today.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/08/2014 23:29

Just as long as you're not doing anything silly like ironing it all today Z!

How's your garden doing? Turning autumnal yet?

Back to the sticks magi, about 15 miles closer to you Grin

IamtheZombie · 31/08/2014 23:38

It's been brilliant sunshine for most of the day, iklboo. Absolutely glorious.

Bee, Zombie does Not. Do. Ironing.

The garden is looking really good. I have had to point my neighbour in the direction of a few things that needed doing. The Virginia Creeper is starting to turn as are a few other things.

I have to take my car in for a major service in the morning. Will need to find ways to amuse myself for several hours. I fear the lure of retail therapy...

mummylin2495 · 01/09/2014 09:56

Hope you have found time to go for a breakfast during your " retail therapy " .it was a beautiful day here for us too, I went to the airshow. Could you send your gardening neighbour round here please. I can do with a hand !

magimedi · 01/09/2014 10:36

BBW Then we must find a nice country pub & meet for lunch sometime. Wine

ZingOfSeven · 01/09/2014 16:14

mummylin

Zombie

I hope car is sorted.
x

ZingOfSeven · 01/09/2014 16:15

Windows hopping? sheesh
I meant window shopping! Grin

mummylin2495 · 01/09/2014 17:23

Hi Zing, hope baby. Zing doing ok ! Thanks will let you know Grin

Zombie hoping your shopping trip went well an that you managed to find a few bargains ! You seem to be feeling much better this time after your chemo, I hope it continues for your last two sessions. Not long to go now.

IamtheZombie · 01/09/2014 17:55

I had to keep a very close eye on the retail therapy as the car cost £715. Shock Wheel bearing, brake discs and pads, exhaust, etc. Retail therapy consisted primarily of 4 new cardigans and an e-cig with mint choc chip liquid.

I did indeed have breakfast but there's no MaccyD in Bridgnorth so I had to make do with pancakes and bacon at Wetherspoons. Life is tough sometimes. Grin

OP posts:
iklboo · 01/09/2014 18:00

I discovered a pancake house very close (walking distance) to where we've recently moved. I almost got whiplash when we drove past it yesterday. I think we'll be paying it a visit this weekend after DS's very first ever rugby practice (eek).

Hope yours were delicious and that despite the financial hole the car has made you've had a grand day.

magimedi · 01/09/2014 18:01

E cig - are you joining us vapers, Zombie?

4 cardigans sounds good - what colours?

mummylin2495 · 02/09/2014 23:10

Hi zombie, very impressed with you vapouring ! I tried that but when I ran out of liquid I didn't bother to get any more.
Hope today has been a good one for you and you are still feeling good. Glad you at least came home from shops with something.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 02/09/2014 23:30

Four cardigans? In one go? You don't muck about do you Zomb Grin

Sorry about the car though, so bloody boring having to spend so much maintaining the blasted things.

E cig is good, not so sure about the mint choc chip Confused, how do you like it?

Very pleased you're sounding like you're feeling better SmileFlowers
