We have a great social life with lots of couples. But being in the military I guess some of them are a bit artificial - good fun though!

ledodgyrobespierre · 09/09/2006 13:30

The couples we are friends with and socialise with were existing friends who either got together or met people when we knew them so it was just a natural occurance.

motherinferior · 09/09/2006 13:32

Yes, but we're swingers.

colditz · 09/09/2006 13:55

No. We have seperate friends, really and most of out mutual friends are habitually single.

actually, what am I saying? We hang around with 2 couples socially!

motherinferior · 09/09/2006 13:58

Actually, DP and I don't do the couply thing much. We are actually - gasp - going out for lunch tomorrow with one of DD1's schoolmates and her (lovely) parents, but this was the result of a sociable suggestion from DP so rare that I think it should be stuffed.

Yes, we have quite group of about 10 couples we tend to socialise with 0- somethimes all together - groups of two or three or just one other. I sometimes meet up with one ot two of the women for coffee. It was basically a group of people who were already friends when we moved here. They moved into a neighbourhood when it was being built and have been firends ever since.

Cappuccino · 09/09/2006 14:01

we would be going out for a meal tonight with two couples we really like if dh wasn't snivelling on the sofa with a tissue like a girl

we rarely go out with other couples so I'm though of course with bags of accompanying sympathy
