just a quick message, have been really busy with starting my journalism course hence why have not been on for ages. also wont be around now for a bit as off to NYC tomorrow! am still going to GAMBADO on sunday so hopefully see a few of you there speak soon

Am new to this thread (and mumsnet). Seems like something you can get addicted to!

I have a 6-month-old daughter who in my own un-biased opinion of course is lovely . She had her first casting yesterday - for a shoot where she would have to be held by a model. The caster therefore wanted to pick her up to see how she was with strangers and of course she went straight from smiling to screaming the place down Oh well.

Good luck with everyone's castings and jobs in the coming days!

Hi and welcome NewDKmum! Yep self confessed mumsnet addict here ! I am sure my dd would have done the same when she was 6 months old too! She was very wary of strangers at that age... Bless your dd! You never know she may still get the job! I am sure she will get plenty of other castings and jobs .Good luck and look forward to chatting with you lots more

mrratty the m&s is a strange one, she was accepted for it the other week, but when I rang the agency they didnt seem to kow anything about it

thorntons the train is the dymchurch steam engine train and the kids love it, it runs from dungeoness and it goes through new romney, st marys bay and a few more, cant remember the names, but romney marsh does have a station there.

Help! I'm trying to post a pic of dd on star of the week on CM - does the picture not show up for a while? I clicked the wrong button the first time, and posted without a pic, then added the pic but it doesn't show up.

Was a nightmare trying to get image to under 50k - I'm sure it'll just look like a blur on the page as I've compressed the picture about 6 times. (Note to self- don't try to work with computers...)

Good luck to anyone with jobs/castings coming up - all quiet here as the tumbleweed rolls by.....

3lambs, saw your little man on cm net, I love his hair, have just added my ds too as was feeling left out, everyone else seems to have!
I want to grow my ds's hair a bit too think it looks really cute, although dh not too impressed with the idea.
I dont know whether the agencies are o.k with it or whether they prefer boys hair to be a bit tidier?

Thanks Ellismummy - it seemed to take the pic OK as I got it to less than 50k but I sent it to CM admin to amend it - my pic was so grainy that you probably wouldn't be able to tell what it was of!!

If anyone looks on CM could they please let me know if Georgie's pic is showing up? Thanks!

Tinkerbel5 - That is really odd! I thought we would hear back as the woman who I assumed to be from M&S really liked DD and made me double check her height. Doesn't make any difference any way as she has a fat lip and graze on it as she fell flat on her face at school yesterday.

I recognised Elle and Izzys kids. Elle looks really cute in the pictures with her finger in her mouth. I thinks it's a shame that some of the photos where ruined by the radiator in the background.
