Zombie's journey with breast cancer

IamtheZombie · 15/04/2014 23:24

The thread that Val started has now been moved to General Health. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/general_health/2016081-Zombie-needs-her-limbs-holding?msgid=46439734

Please keep posting there if you wish.

As most of you know, I'm having my second mastectomy on Thursday. I will almost certainly need to have more chemotherapy.

This is my thread for those who wish to walk beside me on my journey.

Good morning! Smile

I had another really good night's sleep. Joy of joys - I can sleep on my left side already!!!

Plan for today is to catch up on some phone calls and emails. Maybe do a load of laundry.

But first a bowl of porridge is calling my name. Grin

A friend had a mastectomy last summer - and she definitely overdid things in the first few days and it meant that her scar didn't heal up as well as it should have done Please don't do too much!!!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 23/04/2014 13:32

I second that mistle Smile

Did Zombie get her matching smiley?

Jux · 23/04/2014 14:11

I agree with not overdoing it.

Excellent.

Wine time?

IamtheZombie · 23/04/2014 19:02

I have also managed soup and toast. And another lie down reading my kindle for an hour.

Now to decide what to have for dinner.

Wine time soon, Bee.

Wishing you a restful night Zombie, sleep tight!
Rest and healing must come first, forget the washing for now.

IamtheZombie · 23/04/2014 23:46

I'm listening to my body, All.

It's been a peaceful day. I received a lovely bouquet from my late godson's mum. She's the one who drove me home from hospital.

I'm considering an earlyish night. Maybe just one more wee dram first.
