Hi - MOT do not charge any fees - all that you have to pay for if you want to go into it - is there annual model book which comes out every January - so you have missed 2006 Model book - for the record they are a very very good agency and my Daughter has been with them for 18 months and has had lots of fun work

crunchie · 12/01/2006 17:55

Also MOT don't usually suggest going in teh book until your child is AT LEAST 2 or 3. For the book you have to pay the photographer about £60 a child £100 for my 2, plus an extra £60 ish for the book which they take out of earnings.

You also get your own copies of teh book photo which we frame and put up each year.

My only (minor) niggle with this is that the photos are taken in July/Aug for the book that comes out the following Jan. So at the mo my kids photo is 18 months old.

izzyrubi - sorry that i didn't reply your question as i have been unwell.

thanks for TATA & crunchie.
i didn't know how much they'll charge for the photoshoots & model book actually.

btw, i've sent all my paper work to MOT! so, my ds is with them now!

yackertyyack · 12/01/2006 22:05

hey Gumbee..... any joy with KIDSLONDON????

Gumbee · 12/01/2006 22:46

Hi Yackertyyack,

No, haven't heard anything yet. I sent letter and photos off on Monday and hope to hear back soon. I'll let you know as soon as I hear.

yackertyyack · 12/01/2006 22:56

izzyrubi - Kids Londond require sole rep., so, you can;t with other agency.

my ds got accepted by them, but he is with bizzykidz, so, we joined mot, as they allow you with other agency.

crunchie · 13/01/2006 10:07

tigeryun you will not need to pay anything until next summer if you decide to go in the book. By then you will have at least 6 months experience. Also if your child is under 2 or 3 I wouldn't bother (and they say this) as they change too quickly.

Bear in mind between 18 months and 2 1/2 there is not much work around as kids that age are a PAIN to work with. My dd's did very little (and go very ver few calls) until they turned 3 or more

tigeryuan · 13/01/2006 11:19

thanks crunchie!

Gumbee · 13/01/2006 13:04

Yackertyyack, received reply from Kids London this morning, and she wasn't accepted - never mind! will stick with Bizzykidz.

mythumbelinas · 13/01/2006 13:15

chrunchie, tigeryuan, we're not with mot, but when my dd (then 20m old) was accepted, i was asked if i'd like to include her into the model book for £150 !!

tigeryuan · 13/01/2006 13:50

mythumbelinas - they told me its optional to put my ds into the model book, also mentioned for kids over 2.

yackertyyack · 13/01/2006 18:04

ahh sorry to hear that Gumbee.....hopefully BK will come up with something for you soon.
Have you tried Urban Angels??? They are another good one.

sh11 · 13/01/2006 19:56

lanismum · 13/01/2006 22:23

sh11 · 14/01/2006 20:31

totallyfloaty35 · 15/01/2006 13:16

Hi SHll, they asked my girls to come see them, but we have not been yet.what were they like? they are pretty new,so have they got many clients?

sh11 · 15/01/2006 18:39

hi, they seem really professional. I really liked them, even the website is so stylish. They are new, but i feel they will go a long way as did Urban Angels - we have interview at end of January. I think they do quality work, they had recent shoot in Japan for Burberry etc so it might not be regular catalogue work, anyway I dont know how much they charge did not ask but we have been accepted.

alliep30 · 17/01/2006 12:07

alliep30 · 17/01/2006 12:12

I've read some but only joined mumsnet today and am pretty computer ignorant! I'm so worried about being conned by all these people...Not sure what to do love these little faces!

totallyfloaty35 · 17/01/2006 16:24

hello ladies Childsplay very expensive to join and they not really mentioned much on this site.Never heard of A M agency, sorry.Good agencies without big costs seem to be Kids london,Bruce & Brown,MOT Junior and Urban Angels.Hope that helps

tinkerbellchelle · 17/01/2006 17:01

SH11 so do you have your assesment meeting with Urban Angels already set up? I was emailed and told that Jenny was sorting them 2moro? When are you going?

alliep30 · 17/01/2006 18:43

Thanks for that. I'm just not sure what to do! I thought SH11 had mentioned them before when I did a search, this chat came up. Have u seen their website, has a big list of clients, but is this true? When I spoke to lady at the agency she said they were also known as "allsorts" and had been trading for 30 years.. Am I being a paranoid suspicious woman?? Please help before I waste a tank full of petrol finding out!!!
