How many of us actually meet Shona's little sidekicks criteria?
She states that all of us on Mumsnet are in our 30s, living in London and have a degree. How many people here meet that criteria?
How many are popping prozac depressed at the shit life we now have with kids?
Damn that woman is nasty!

Ssssh, BIWI.

I did know you must be a proper grown up what with having such grown-up children, but in my head you're my age.

Seems like reading this thread, the only age most of us aren't is our 30s.

MadBraLady · 11/04/2013 22:16

Tick, tick and tick!

I'm not a mum though, which kind of lets the side down.

MadBraLady · 11/04/2013 22:16

Oh, missed the prozac one. Well, I used to be, so 1/2.

MadBraLady · 11/04/2013 22:17

how do people have so many degrees?!!!

Indecision. Grin

bigbuttons · 11/04/2013 22:18

only one degree
pgce
45
6 kids
born and bred in south London now in Brighton
occasional Boden from charity shops
prozac in the past beer in the present and fags

PigeonPie · 11/04/2013 22:19

Well, I was in my 30s when I joined MN 7+ years ago, but am now in my 40s. We did live in London pre-DC. I take diazepam, but not as an AD. I prefer Seasalt to Boden!

PigeonPie · 11/04/2013 22:20

Oh, and although I don't have a degree, but do have professional qualifications.

AngloSvensk · 11/04/2013 22:47

30
Atm in Newcastle
SAHM
No degree but starting an OU one soon
No prozac
No idea what Boden is or most of the other brands that have been name dropped.

sigh I am getting really fed up with the Daily Fail. Sad Just because people on MN say it like it is and don't sugar coat anything, its apparently the spawn of some evil viper, forked tongues, vemon and all. Angry I think Justine and the rest at MNTowers do a great job and have a fantastic and informative site on their hands.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 11/04/2013 22:52

Interesting that so many people have re-trained (evidenced by having more than one degree) - I feel less freaky and indecisive now. And think I might try doing some more training sometime soon. (Perhaps in the elements of English grammar ? to stop me starting sentences with And Wink) Also encouraged that so many have tried anti-D's - I might give them a whirl sometime Smile

Jux · 11/04/2013 22:53

Oh yes, Pigeon, I like Seasalt. Boden is so passé.

fromparistoberlin · 11/04/2013 23:04

I just looked up the article in question. I know we said no comments about looks but I have never seen a picture of Gina Ford before, having given her a wide berth, and I now think she is persona created by the ubiquitous Justin and she probably belongs on Gigglebiz.

Me: 40s, live in E Anglia, working 2 jobs, 2 kids, couple of degrees and a teaching qualification.

I remember AGES ago watching a documentary about women having their first babies. I swear SS was one of them. I remember thinking she was a bit odd then; she and her husband were barely on speaking terms and in fact I think she'd dumped him. Strange to think they are still together now - if it's the same chap. She was clearly desperate for attention by any possible means even then.

Had much better drugs than prozac
More tank girl than boden

ToomuchWaternotWine · 11/04/2013 23:17

40s, scotland, one degree and unrelated post degree quals, one child, was on ads for PND not now.

Daily fail are a bunch of wankbadgers.

Justine is fab.

Schooldidi · 11/04/2013 23:20

I'm in my 30s and have a degree, but live in Cumbria so that's a long way from London. I'm not on Prozac either but I think maybe I should be.

30s, check.
London, check.
Degree, check.
Prozac, not lately.

Who is Shona?

SomethingOnce · 11/04/2013 23:40

Oh, and it pleases me no end to be despised by the Fail Grin

marilynwhirlwind · 11/04/2013 23:44

48yrs old (today as a matter of fact!)
LIve in Lancashire.
No degree, but a professional qualification.
No anti-dpressants.
Mainly lurk around S&B (although have neither).
Like Boden and love Seasalt.
So only tick the one box really.
Oh, very pro bfing but only for the benefit of the DM & DC, wouldn't judge those who don't.

CocktailQueen · 11/04/2013 23:46

Two degrees, live in Home Counties, happy with dc, no antidepressants. Who is Shona?!

BreconBeBuggered · 11/04/2013 23:50

I've read the entire thread and I'm still no closer to finding out who the Shona one is than she is at describing the typical MNer. For statistical purposes only: degree plus professional bits, not London, not 30s, no Prozac, don't like biscuits.

BreconBeBuggered · 11/04/2013 23:51

NB my professional bits are the best bits, naturally.
