How many of us actually meet Shona's little sidekicks criteria?
She states that all of us on Mumsnet are in our 30s, living in London and have a degree. How many people here meet that criteria?
How many are popping prozac depressed at the shit life we now have with kids?
Damn that woman is nasty!

Fuck FUCK I'm fifty-fucking TWO for God's sake Blush

Barbabeau · 11/04/2013 21:33

Am total stereotype. In 30s, two degrees, live in London and have a few Boden items.

Don't pop pills yet.

Glittertwins · 11/04/2013 21:33

I'm 30s, have a degree and live a few miles north west of London. Prefer G&T or a cuppa to pill popping though. I quite like my life so certainly not bitter and twisted.

HellesBelles396 · 11/04/2013 21:34

30's - check
London - never been
degree - check
Boden - nothing
hob-nobs - I miss hob-nobs
depression - since well before I was a mother
ironing - I think I own an iron...

it is immensely disheartening when anyone slates someone else for reasons other than those deserved. if SS doesn't like things said by the minority of mnetters, she has done well to sat so but generalising in the way she has is as bad as the people she complains about - worse really because of the hypocrisy involved.

BCBG · 11/04/2013 21:34

Mind you, (she says, reasonably Grin) my sister takes Prozac and I would seriously swing for anyone who belittled her fight against severe depression. I just can't believe we take this sort of shit seriously. Seriously. (Even if I can't remember how feckin old I am...)

Worriedaboutapal · 11/04/2013 21:40

30s - yep
london - no
anti-depressants - yes
degree - yep, I have 3 - greedy me

ScrambledSmegs · 11/04/2013 21:41

I checked that article to see if it's been amended in line with Justine's email. Yes it has. She is now referred to as

Justine Roberts, sports journalist and liberalista wife of The Guardian?s deputy editor Ian Katz

Yes, DM, that's so much better Hmm. What in the name of all that is friffing holy is a liberalista?

At least they've removed the potentially libellous insinuation that MN could cause people to kill themselves.

Feelingood · 11/04/2013 21:48

Ok lucy

thegreylady · 11/04/2013 21:51

OAP [69] live in small country town and have a teaching certificate and a degree.
I am not breast feeding at the moment Grin
I'd hate to live in London.
I have a happy marriage,2 dc and 3 step dc who between them have given us 9 amazing dgc :)
No Boden though I am partial to a chocolate hobnob. My politics are left of centre but right of communist.

thegreylady · 11/04/2013 21:52

Oh yes-never been clinically depressed and never popped a Prozac in my life.

OhTheConfusion · 11/04/2013 21:52

Not quite 30 yet.
Like a weekend in London but live in Scotland!
I have a degree but don't use it.
Can't believe you are all on drugs and no one has suggested it Wink.
Love a hobnob but since I joined the WW thread they are banned from our house!

MiaSparrow · 11/04/2013 21:52

30s, degree, live in London and HAPPY! Oh, sorry - that's not allowed is it?

I too go under the title of freelance journalist, although I'd rather be a Portaloo scrubber than write for the Daily Hate.

happybubblebrain · 11/04/2013 21:59

40s, I don't live in London (thank God), I don't pop any kinds of pills, not even vitamins. I do have a degree though.

peachypips · 11/04/2013 22:00
  • 34
  • Live in Devon
  • A certified loony-loops so nice lot of pills
  • Two degrees
  • My kids wear some Boden if my mum is feeling flush!

So I qualify as a perfect MNer on all but one count. Very proud. Very proud indeed.

BumBiscuits · 11/04/2013 22:01

Forties, Scottish, no degree and have never tried Prozac --would like to th

BumBiscuits · 11/04/2013 22:02

would like to though

BIWI · 11/04/2013 22:03

In my 50s, degree and post-degree qualifications, live in London. Never been near an anti-depressant.

MiaSparrow · 11/04/2013 22:05

BumBiscuits! You did the strike through. Shona doesn't like that.

QuintessentialOHara · 11/04/2013 22:05

Liar, BIWI! You are not in your fifties! You are my age!

Athrawes · 11/04/2013 22:07

43
New Zealand (do I get a prize!)
Three degrees
One kid
Citalopram!! (Prozac lite)

MavisGrind · 11/04/2013 22:08

42
North-West
degree and post-grad qualifications
2 dcs
wine, not pills
boden only sporadically and only ever off ebay

As I've said before on here - I knew SS when we were all at college (It hadn't become a university at that point - it's where you went when you fucked up your A levels). I also remember that she was quite shallow peculiar then.

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs · 11/04/2013 22:08

In my 30's, NOT in London, have a degree (that's now useless thanks to my broken body...), NOT on Prozac.

2/4?!

BIWI · 11/04/2013 22:10
Grin

I wish it were true, Quint. But I'm 53. I have NO idea how that happened. I'm sure I was 27 only yesterday.

QuintessentialYawnyYoni · 11/04/2013 22:14

Same here. And the worst part is that I sort of feel like I am 18! Confused

bigbuttons · 11/04/2013 22:15

how do people have so many degrees?!!!
