they just rang and said hes gorgeous and we defintely want to work with him. fantastic!!!! god its so nice to be spoken to like an adult. i spoke more to the booker there in last ten minutes than i have with my other agency in 2 years!! were off to butlins in the morning so really excited now! any ideas what happens about letting our other agency know etc?

dd still in hospital they want to let her go but the silly bugger is refusing to keep oral antibiotics down so they're trying to figure something out but I have hopes that this will be over soon, she's even walking again .

mysonsmummy.........Well done on getting ds into UA!!!!!! Know you won't look back now! I would actually put a letter in the post as well as the e-mail.......more professional from your side, even if they haven't shown you the same level of professionalism.

izzy.......glad to hear dd is getting better and hope that she'll be permanently home soon. Lots of little ones have a real problem getting the meds sown at her age. Have to say though that
most anitbiotics taste foul so it's little wonder.

2pimms....still trying to get hubbie to download that ident off the sky+ box. He's been a little busy of late, but will keep nagging!

Lastly we are off to a very interesting casting with dd and ds tomorrow..........it's underwater!!! The brief says to bring bathing suits, goggles and towel. So should be a good day out if nothing else.

mysonsmummy..........you don't need to give any notice........just say with "immediate effect" in your letter.

have really good news dd is coming home tonight! They changed the antibiotics and she had it just fine so she'll be home in a few minutes, yaaay! fingers crossed she won't have trouble with the medication!!

mysonsmummy >> in my case it was a bit different because I didn't ask them to cancel the contract, they canceled it without me asking, so I didn't give any notice, really, but I don't think you need to give them notice anyway. Really pleased for you, I'm sure you'll like UA!

hemart >> try childmodelling.net, top agencies in my humble opinion are Urban Angels, Bruce & Brown, Kids London, MOT, Alphabet Kidz and Truly Scrumptious but there are loads of other agencies out there that are actually very very good, my advice, do your homework, apply to as many as you can and then choose whichever suits you best! good luck!

mysonmummy i'm sure your be really happy with u/a we are, we have a job tomorrow with them. how old is your little one? i know someone else who has just been excepted and they have a job in the pipline for him already talk about quick.

perfumelady >> I used to live in Parson's Green! Clapham Junction is really not far from there but it's not so easy with public transport. I think you would have to get a train from there to Putney and then bus number 14 or train to West Brompton and then District line... it's probably easier to get a cab though! What's the job for?

izzy - so glad lo is back home where she belongs. your comment made me laugh - did you ask some questions they wern't comfortable with. IMO they like parents like me who dont speak unless spoken too. lol UA said when someone leaves them they have to give 30 days notice so should do the same really. lets hope we have a busy summer holiday as sure ds school wont be happy about having time off. does any parents with kids at school know how it works? thanks

is there a problem with IK again?

mysonsmummy my dd is at school, we have had a couple of jobs in the holidays but a lot seem to come week days whist at school. each school seems to react differantly my dd's school are brilliant, and they share what she has done in assembly but i do know of some mums who have said there school have not allowed time off for modelling at all, i think you have to see what happens it's not like you get jobs every single week so it doesn't seem to bad and some companys do have castings after school hours which is fine if you live in london, the last casting we went to was between 3-6pm. i really wouldn't worry we haven't found that it has disrupted school at all and the good thing with u/a you can turn a job down and they don't hold it agaist you we have turned down 3 or 4 jobs, sometimes you just can't do them.

Perfume lady .Have you had a look at Worx website ? www.theworx.co.uk/ Look under location there is transport info. We drove to a Monsoon shoot there last year so sorry not much help re public transport. Nice studios,friendly helpful staff maybe you could call them for further directions. Good luck for shoot/casting.

perfumelady, we went to worx studio before. i don't know about trains, but we took the tube and it's just a simple 2 min walk around the corner from Parson's Green station. hth!
