i know!! just as i went up the stairs for dd to be seen i heard a clang and peeped back and i saw the ironing board on the floor!! .. then heard your ds, cyan :(
it was great to go with you cyan :)
dd was asked to change into something but it was too small for her .. she was the biggest/oldest toddler there!!

mrratty · 23/05/2006 18:46

mythumbelinas, thank you! Who are your children with?

mythumbelinas · 23/05/2006 18:49

they're with KL .. i feel lucky to be with them :)

izzyrubi · 23/05/2006 20:33

hi everybody just got home from hospital, news aren't v. good for us unfortunately... they think her knee is much worse than it was on Sunday and are worried that it might be an infection so she spent the whole day having blood test, x-rays, ultra sounds all over again and they're keeping her tonight as well, I'm home because I obviously can't sleep there at 39 weeks of pregnancy, my dh will stay with her and I'll go back in the morning... it's heart breaking to see her like that, although she's happy and playing as long as she's sitting and nobody is close to her right leg, bless her.
anyways nothing on modelling front, sorry, but thought I needed to share :)
fingers crossed for Charlie and Kelly [smile} and good luck to the ones going tomorrow!

7up · 23/05/2006 20:44

hi izzy, sorry about your dd, when i was in hospital with liam the other week the little boy opposite us had an infection in his bone in the ankle, hes in for 6weeks on intravenous antibiotics, bless him, he was sooooo good and had done 3weeks when i met him.

il see the lad tomorow when we go back in, if its the same with your dd it will be hard but kids are so resiliant and put up with much more than we canSmile

lanismum · 23/05/2006 21:12

oh izzy, poor little mite, and poor you! did they say they will let her out tomorrow? fingers crossed its much better tomorrow xx
7up, i posted on your other thread, but just wanted to say i hope tomorrow goes well, and that he gets a definate diagnosis, and thats its not too horrible for the both of you xx

lanismum · 23/05/2006 21:20

izzy, have emailed you Smile

mrratty · 23/05/2006 21:39

izzyrubi thats really sad, I hope she feels better soon and you can get some rest before your baby is born.

littlemadam · 23/05/2006 22:02

Izzy, so sorry about your little one. DS had that after flu when he was about 2 1/2, we had the blood tests etc and his cleared up after about a month, and he was fine, so hope the same for you Smile You have caught it early too. Fingers crossed for you!

mysonsmummy · 23/05/2006 22:33

izzy - so sorry to hear about dd. do you know what caused it in the first place?

can anyone let me know for the UA interview they say wear denims and white t-shirt. what did your lo's wear? i never buy white tops because one stain and its ruined. any ideas thanks ds is 4 - 5 years clothes.

lanismum · 23/05/2006 22:40

mysonsmummy, my dd is with urban angels, for her assesment she wore jeans and a plain white long sleeve t shirt, she has to have her pics updated this weekend, and will be wearing jeans or long denim shorts, and a plain white t shirt, her t shirt came from tescos, and was just 75p! i never buy her white tops for obvious reasons, and this was perfect.

lanismum · 23/05/2006 22:43

most people put the white tops on the kids just before they are called in, saves worring about dribble/sick/nosebleeds ect! and the plainer the top the better the pics will look, so if you can get 1 with just a plain round neck and no pockets/logos, do. hope i made sense! Smile

lanismum · 23/05/2006 22:50

just to let you know that the pics they take at the assesment will be put on the website if he gets offered a contract, so he does need a white top, but if he doesnt have denims, i dont think it will matter too much as my dds pic, and 2 other kids pics i have seen is just head and shoulders, and i was told to put her in denims if she had them, but will be best to double check with alysia just in case! hope the assesment goes well.

mysonsmummy · 23/05/2006 23:06

thanks - thats great about t-shirt - will look in there tomorrow - hope they still have them. if you hadnt said that i would have put it on him before we went and probably made him nervous by moaning at him - thanks for the tip. when you went do you know if a lot of people were not offered contracts or other way round. how much work have you had from them? sorry for questions. we've been with bk for ages and nothing - so very cynical. thanks

lanismum · 23/05/2006 23:16

i dont know how many people were offered contracts, i only know i was, and 2 other mums i know, but i think more were turned down that accepted, (others on here may know differently) my dd has been with them since feb, and hasnt had a job yet, but has been to 2 castings, and was offered another but she wasnt a good enough walker, but i know that they do get lots of work for their kids, and they are considered to be 1 of the top agencies, they are all very friendly too, hope this is of some help Smile

Ragamuffin · 23/05/2006 23:20

izzy.........so sorry to hear about your ds. I do hope she is feeling better in the morning and that dh doesn't feel too ragged after a night at her bedside.

2manypimms.........I finally managed to catch that E4 ident.....it was on during BBLB tonight. Your little man is easy to pick out as the tiniest in the group. I have it on the sky hard drive ready to download to dics for you!!!! If you give me an e-mail address then I can get all your details to send it to you.

mysonsmummy · 23/05/2006 23:20

well we've been with BK over 2 years had one job and never been to one casting - weird!!

lanismum · 23/05/2006 23:59

yeah we were with bk for 8 months and had no jobs or castings, but then my dd hasnt exactly been flooded with work with a top agency either, maybe she has a face only a mother could love Grin

2ManyPimms · 24/05/2006 08:07

Izzi - your poor little one!!!!! :( ((((((hugs)))))) Keep us posted on her progress.

Ragamuffin - THANKS for recording it! Yeah, he was the smallest - we breed 'em tiny in the Pimms household! :o He was in danger of being hidden by the drum kit!!!

DS had a casting for John Lewis last night. He said he "lost his smile" again. Wasn't a happy bunny and it showed. Going to take one more casting (should we be offered one) and see how it goes. I might pull him out of modelling. We'll see.

Is that the time? YOIPS!!!!!!!!!! Reading and off to school we go!!!!

mythumbelinas · 24/05/2006 09:37

oh izzy, i hope you managed to get some good rest for yourself and bump .. it must be hard when things are so unsettled right now. Poor dd, hope she will have a speedy recovery :)

mysonsmummy · 24/05/2006 09:48

lanismum - you've only been with them a while yet though. thing is as least she is gong on castings - its the fact he never went to a casting - if he wasnt getting jobs fine. and i think its much harder to do modelling when they are school. its a shame - wish i moved from then after 8 months as well instead of wasting money of doctors notes and dont get me started on the 4 minute photoshoot we drove 3 hours for. lol.

mykidsmum · 24/05/2006 09:54

Izz hope things are looking better for you all today xx
