we have been time sine Nov 06, they did put forward my ds for a job few weeks ago, unfortunately the job was cancelled!!

izzy - need to print photos off to send it to them. we need to go to see IK but bit concerned about not been able to contact them all week. they have not returned any of my e-mails or calls. bit weird way to operate - what do you think?

hmmm UA arent taking on dd3 age group atm. so may try kidslondon. is there any fee upfront for that one?

mysonsmummy >> I don't want to think it's weird because my daughter is with them but I actually do, hopefully one of them wasn't feeling well and the other one had to look after clients on his/her own or something like that, I still truly believe IK is a good agency just think it will take a little while for them to build reputation but that's expected with any new agency!

i am hoping it is just a blip with IK and due to illness ort something. I have also had problems with my phone line today.

On checking my email we have an email reminding us LO's dr letter is due to expire and also that his picture has been sent out alot lately just no one has picked him ( boo hoo :( Im really think he's not " model " type - just gorgeous in his own way )

tiger - it was weird it was cancelled. we had one other job with them but was no casting. it was for me and lo - god forbid it was awlful for me. they must have thought how could you have such a beautiful boy. when we had done job the client wrote and said he has the best behaved boy and compliant they had used - still no work. must be 3 weeks now i had letter to say weve received your new photos and will update site. dont let me get started on photos already on there - from photo shoot - biggest waste of money of all - in and out in 4 minutes - it was end of the day - says alot. with urban angels made sure got early morning appt. once bitten...........
i did think bk had faVOURITES BUT NOW HAVE NEW HEAD BOOKER THINGS HAVENT SEEMED TO CHANGE. (Sorry). anyway drs note - i never had one same reason as above but got e-mail saying he wont be put forward for jobs. my dr's ok though havent charged me for last 2.

izzy - is there only two people that work at IK?

IK is a small agency and as far as I'm concerned it's only the two of them, most agencies have only 2-4 people working at, I think UA is also 3 of them, B&B is 3 of them, not sure if AK has anyone else other than Lisa, CK is only Pauline and Sue etc. etc.

Someone had a question re:castings for a 6 year old? (I keep losing the plot in these long threads!!!!).

The one casting DS went to was merely to try on some clothing for Monsoon and have a few snaps taken. He didn't get the job, but it was a great excuse to spend the rest of the day in London! There weren't many children there and it was an in-and-out in 10 minutes sort of thing.

Big Brother fans....the short kid in the purple lounge suit with the blonde wig and glasses is wee DS! Can't wait! :o

Question about B&B - How often do you send in new photos and is there a way to see which photos of your child they are using?

tigeryuan is your son in the Colourama section of Junior? If so he is gorgeous, I really like the badge is was wearing though not so sure about the shotrs over trousers look!!!

mysonsmummy who else have you tried? i must admit if i was you i wouldn't go with ik, i would go with an agency that you know gets regular work for there children, i don't think anyone has got anything yet with them,when i was looking for an agency i emailed ik and asked why they don't post there past clients/jobs on there website like others do,and asked if they could email me a few names that had used them, i don't think that was a rude question to ask, i think most agencies would happily name drop clients to potential models(well there mums)but i got a rather rude/abrupt email back saying we are not taking on any more models at the moment. which i find strange because i didn't apply to them i didn't mention my daughters sex or age and i didn't submit a photo? oh and they didn't answer my client question, which to me would sugest that they haven't secured any jobs as of yet, i hope my gut feelings are wrong as a few mums from mumsnet have spent alot of money on photos to be with them. i personally would wait to hear of some jobs coming out from ik before i went with them, buts thats just my opinion.

perfumelady - who did you go with in the end? your right about Ik didnt realised any of the mums hadnt got any work yet. what was swaying me was there being no boys of same skin colour in ds age group - but if they havent got any clients thats not gonna make any difference. just got a no from B&B said have exactly same looking boy but maybe thats a nice way of saying no. got no from MOT. going to see urban angels in half term - thats who i want to go with. waiting for date to see IK but TBH have e-mailed them twice about it and tried to ring all last week. need to send photos to kids london but need to print them off first. hope we get yes from urban angels. are they sole rep? if they are wouldnt have any probs leaving BK had a job off them for ds and me but been two years without a caasting - if they are putting him for as many as they say they are we would have had at least a casting by now. im not someone who thinks he should be getting jobs all the time and if the was going for castings and not gettign them fine but no castings - not right.
