perfumelady >> we had work through them and I know another parent that are with them and her kids also had some work through them but I also believe that the agency is really new and that it will take a while for them to build reputation and get regular work for all their kids, at least that's what I hope!!!

we are going on the tuesday 30th - as i want this one so much bit worried about how its going to go, but if its meant to be. it so near to us only 10 minutes up road - great - last time went to shoot near dartford tunnel took all day and as i said b4 complete waste of my time as in and out in 4 minutes. UA say it only takes 10 mins as not a shoot the other one i paid £100 for the privilege - take better pictures myself. what peed me off more it was end of day and they could not be bothered at all. think will wait to see UA b4 IK as someone said before if want to go to IK afterwards we can. i really wanted IK b4 so will prob change mind again soon.

mysonsmummy >> We also used to live really close to the studio where UA's photos are taken, first we lived in Putney and then moved to Wimbledon, stayed in Wimbledon most of the time I've been in the UK until last December when we moved to Farnborough!!
I also took my dd to Dartford for the BK shooting last year, what a waste of time and money!!
The UA shoot is very different, very professional and simple and quick!!
I have to be honest and say that I sort of regret not going with UA, I'm very happy with the agencies that we are but I think it was a mistake not going with them so in my opinion you're right about waiting to see if they offer him a contract before trying other agencies! Fingers crossed!

mysonsmummy, we are with urban angels, alysia is really lovely, you really feel that they know all the children on there books, when we got our contract we had two job offers within the 1st week. they do seem to be going from strengh to strengh they are getting new clients all the time. when you go to meet them you will fill in a form, name, age, address etc then you go through to a little studio, my dd had her hair and make up done(lip gloss!!!) she thought that was fab, then you have some photo's taken quite a few if i remember rightly, then thats it you just wait to here, we went on the saturaday of the week long shoots and alysia phoned us the following tues to offer contract, so you don't have to wait long.fingers crossed for your lo how old is he/she?

izzy, i thought you did have a casting with ik but for some reason i thought it was cancelled, sorry i'm useless probably was someone else with some other agency, i really hope that ik does work out good for you and the others, but i personally wouldn't go with them unless i knew they got plenty of work for there models,but i do wish you all the best with them.

izzy - i never realised that UA offered you a contract as well. do you mind if i ask why you chose IK over them - dont worry if you dont want to say. whjat about kids london - did you apply to them?

tiger - ds if 4 i really want to post a photo of him but dont know how. he gorgeous and loves the camera. unfortunatelythe camera does not like his mummy. lol

mysonsmummy >> yes we did apply at Kids London, that's my very favourite agency and I really really wanted dd to go with them but they didn't want her snif snif snif then we went to see IK and I loved them, not only the agency but it's owners and their approach to the business and everything, dd was accepted at B&B and UA and we were supposed to go with B&B but it ended up that they were very busy and didn't return my calls and then we had a job offer through IK and thought it was meant to be. The reason we decided not to go with UA was because they offered dd a temporary contract and it's silly but for some reason I thought they weren't too keen on her, I do regret not going with them because they're really growing and are already one of the top agencies and they do get loads of work for their kids... I will stop moaning about not going with them because now dd is doing well with the agencies she's with now and fingers crossed they will offer your ds a contract!

mysonsmummy> we are with UA, we were previously with Norrie Carr but I wasn't too happy with them, I know that other mums are but that was just our experience and they charge a hefty joining up costs.

Send your pics off to Kids London, as they are a very reputable agency, my LO was accepted by them and we would have gone with them had UA not offered us a casting within 2 hours of joining!

Best of luck for 2 weeks time, i', sure your ds will be fine at UA shoot.

Cyan >> I'm alright, struggling to sleep at night, started taking some homeopathy myself and it helps a lot!!! Cecilia is well, she's becoming really funny, keeps getting my necklace and putting on, I think it's really sweet, funny that she imitates me and not daddy!! We really decided to call baby Benjamin and Matt agreed with no second name which suits me so I'm really glad!
Is Charlie going for an update shooting at UA this month?

Good for you guys agreeing on the name! I was about to suggest some aromatherapy to help you sleep but i dont think that youre supposed to have that during pregnancy as it can induce labour, well the essential oils. Have you tried running yourself a warm bath when you wake up? But then I suppose its a nightmare getting in and out of the bath, i felt like an elephant towards the end getting in an out of it!!!

Oh I went oriental city on friday with charlie, and got that thai curry that i had again it wasnt half as nice as when we all met up! i hate that when youre looking really forward to something and its a complete let down!!! i also stupidly left my bag in the food court and didnt realise until id walked half way round asda. im a nightmare!

He is at his dads at the moment. I went out last night, so feeling fluffy this morning! Was harrassing lanismum with texts!!! CHarlie fell over on Friday and has loads of cuts and scratches on his face poor thing. We are supposed to go tot eh UA shoot in 2 weeks, but if they dont go away by then not sure what I will do! I suppose they can always airbrush it out?

How many weeks left is it 3? Im so excited cant wait to see picture of baby Benjamin!

hi izzy we are fine thanks hope your not feeling too fed up are you getting nervous now? we haven't heard anything on the modelling front which is a blessing because for the last three weekends running she has had acting auditions,one of them was for a lead part in a film(for cinema release), which was very exciting, she did an hour and a half work shop with the films casting director and producer, she didn't get a recall but it was invaluable experience for her as this is all quite new to her. i'm feeling a bit worried today my eldest dd is going off for a weeks activity course with her school tomorrow, probably worrying over nothing but you can't help it can you and i have packed far to much stuff for her ,just in case .

cyan- my heads a bit dodgy too, too much jack daniels poor old charlie, i reckon his scratches will go before the shoot though, especially if he doesnt pick them, im desperatly trying to keep lani bruise/cut free until the shoot, shes a nightmare, she climbs everything!

perfume, i remember when i went sking with my school when i was about 12, my mum and aunt totally embarassed me, millions of kisses, waving ect, i think my aunt even told the coach driver to make sure he drove carefully, i still remember the shame now please dont do this to your dd

Both of my girls were with Norrie Carr, I found that if I rang them they had to look on their computer to find out who my girls were. I met a mum at a casting who had three daughters with them and had been with them for years and she praised them highly so I guess everybody has different experiences!

Thanks mrratty- I just like to hear the good and the bad (I am a very cautius person!!!)

Mrratty - B&B said to send any pictures that I thought were exceptional. I guess they vet them and decide whether or not to add them to the site. The photo which is on there at the mo was taken at the Model Book shoot. I tried to apply for a password to view the site but they don't give them to mums - only clients. Nuts.

perfume - a feature film? Wow!! That must have been incredibly exciting!

Julie4 - Norrie Carr? Drawbacks? Hmmmm...the only one I could think of is that it is a HUGE agency! (Also I didn't like the chicks at the reception desk...quite snotty. Could have been a bad morning though.) Oh, forgot - COST! 136.00 per year!!!! I am a cheapskate! They are big in the biz and many mums have had great experiences with them. Good luck with your decision!

2Manypimms- Thanks for your advise. I hate snotty people too, better wear my best clothes aswell for the assesment then!!!! instead of my jeans. Its good they get the work. I wonder how many they have on their books are they as Scallywags or other agents with loads of kids on their books. Did you go with them? Did they keep you updated on if people are considering your child for a shoot etc. I never heard anything from Scallywags apart from when he had a job (and he only had the one in a year!). No good or bad feedback or anything
