Mrratty - I applied (I think) in January and had a swift response time as well. How old is your daughter?

Good luck to those who have had castings recently!!!

People expected over for coffee at any minute and my house is a tip!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 10:31

2ManyPimms - my daughter is nearly five. Been with them for about 3 weeks and not had any castings yet. How old is your child and do you get many castings?

mysonsmummy · 11/05/2006 10:33

hi - still no luck with inspired kids. just answer phone. weird.

if i want to send photos by post (hope this dont sound too stupid) am i best putting them on disc and going to shop to print them off on proper paper. or how do you do it? thanks

perfumelady · 11/05/2006 10:39

mysonsmummy maybe the size of your photo is too big to open sometimes if the photo size is over 100kb they won't open them. if sending through post i would print them off, i print mine off with photo paper from my own printer.

yackertyyack · 11/05/2006 10:39

mysonsmummy>>>> Personally would send hard copies of photos rather than on disc (cheaper too!!) Thats what we did for KL....I sent on a thusday afternoon and had acceptance letter by the saturday morning! GOOD LUCK!!!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 10:46

I reduced my photos quitr alot to e-mail them. Send them as an attachment and I'm sure they will get back to you.

tigeryuan · 11/05/2006 10:55

morning all.
what a gorgeous day!

its weird no one answered the phone!!

mysonsmummy · 11/05/2006 10:59

thanks everyone. how do i reduce the size of the photos - UA or inspired opened them but you might be right. just looked at size of one of them and i sent five but 1 is 606k - is that big or small?

mysonsmummy · 11/05/2006 11:01

perfumelady - are they same quality printing them of our computer as opposed to shop. it would be so much easier doing it myself. also where is the cheapest place to buy the paper.

tigeryuan · 11/05/2006 11:02

mysonsmummy - i think 606k is okay.. not too big!

yackertyyack · 11/05/2006 11:04

Tiger.......could they have changed their number???? Really lovely day again but not if you are stuck in the office ay!!!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 11:08

mysonsmummy the inital photos I sent were under 100 KB then I sent some more which were 1.5MB, so I Imagine yours were fine!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 11:10

How often do you phone your agency if you have not heard from them for a while?

tigeryuan · 11/05/2006 11:15

yackert - no idea!!
i got a window seat, so, not too bad!
few more weeks for you in the office.. how good is that you could enjoy the whole summer at home. so jealous!!

yackertyyack · 11/05/2006 11:18

mrratty.....i don't phone...Purely because I wouldn't really know what to say to them!! I just assume that they want DS to work as much as I do so they are not going to forget about him!!
How long have you been with the agency??? If I hadn't heard from them in 6 months or so I would probably be tempted!

tigeryuan · 11/05/2006 11:19

mrratty - i'd never phone them. but, emailed them if i concerned!! but, not often tho.!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 11:20

yackertyyack - it's only been 3 weeks! I only ask because some of you seem to have auditions all the time!

yackertyyack · 11/05/2006 11:21

Tiger - Yes am looking foward to it now but have the builders starting as soon as i start mat leave!!! JOY!!!

tigeryuan · 11/05/2006 11:22

mrratty -- may be you should wait abit longer!!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 11:23

Yes I agree!! Blush

tigeryuan · 11/05/2006 11:23

yackert - thats good! then you could monitor their progress!! Grin

yackertyyack · 11/05/2006 11:27

Hey MrRatty.....it seems to go in waves for us! Some months its very quiet with nothing and then, others its busy!(normally when you have stuff planned!!!) I think with school age children they try as hard as they can to organise castings in school holidays - I am sure your little one will be busy soon Smile make sure you keep us posted when she is though!!

mrratty · 11/05/2006 12:02

yackertyyack - thanks for that! We are away only one day during half term and I bet thats when we will get a call!!!!

totallyfloaty35 · 11/05/2006 13:31

Izzy when you went to south africa, did you get any hassle re- being pg on a long haul flight? my gp had a right moan, kept going on about DVT,frightened the life out of me

julie4travel · 11/05/2006 13:44

hi totallyfloaty - just saw your email about being pregnant on a flight. I did a 24 flight all n all in my first part of pregnancy. I did struggle with my circulation even with the dvd socks. The worse part was when i went to sleep my legs were vertually dead when i woke up. I had to walk round loads. I wouldn't worry about it just try and keep the circulation going as much as possible.

I have done shorter 9 hour flights aswell whilst pregnant. I needed a break from my son as was getting really tired towards the end of my pregnancy and i just scraped in my trip arriving home before my last day that i was allowed to fly up to. That flight was fine no probs with the circulation plus as I had a bump I got an extra legroom seat. the trip really did me the world of good as me and my sister went on a relaxing cruise using the pampering of the spa and facilities onboard etc and we didn't take my son so I had the time to relax before the baby popped out.

Hope that may have helped you a bit.
