my friend showed me some interesting but remote places in Liguria and I know that would make much more sense and I do love it but it would be a big compromise

I would buy a villa in/near lerici if I was a squillionaire though and just go to Sicily on holiday, or other way around?

Oh Lerici is wonderful, but yes, you need to be a squillionaire. Liguria is beautiful, but crowded and expensive. However, the idea of a house in the entroterra always fascinates me.

I would try and rent in Sicily, which imho remains one of the most fascinating parts of the world, despite its problems. Have you been to Modica?

Ages ago I struck up a correspondence with someone who impulsively moved to modica, from Australia! Should track her down and see if she would like to meet up, but nobody ever says 'don't do it it's a nightmare' even if you can get them talking about the difficulties they either romanticise it all or I just hear what I want to hear

So I haven't been but it's on my quite long list. Do you like it there? Where would you most like to live?

Cose interessanti that have happened in my collo del bosco recently: assolutamente niente, come al solito nelle marche but we live in eternal hope. Oh mi sono dimenticata domani è la festa del patrono quindi le strade in città saranno bloccate e non si potrà andare da nessuna parte for three days but you can if you wish buy loads of useless tat and marvel at the total disregard for animal welfare on the pet stall.

Alameda, I am from Milan, Which I must say I like quite a lot, but possibly because most of my friends live here.

We lived in Devon for 8 yrs, and I wouldn't mind to live in London.

But, I would also like to spend more time in Sicily, even if I know it is not an easy place, you have to love it very much.
