In Expats own words last night

"Keep it coming, folks. She NEEDS this miracle*.

There is indeed power in our prayers and hopes and love.....and especially the amount of us lighting candles and taking time to just think about them. On my own part, pretty much everyone I know knows about our prayers for Aillidh....so many people thinking of her.

I pray today for continued strength for Expat, continued love for Aillidh, and continued hugs for Giraffes, who is there with them walking this tightrope and being a true angel.

PlasticFlamingo · 08/07/2012 00:07

My heart is breaking for you Aillidh, if it is time for you to go, then go with all our blessings of love and admiration. Forgive me if I keep praying for a miracle, I hope with all my heart you can stay.

Expat and family. I cannot imagine the unbearable turmoil you are suffering tonight, I offer you prayers of strength and courage and peace.

Can I also say to all the mumsnetters around the world tonight, the mums that have sadly walked this path, the mums that are walking this path with poorly children and the rest of us that have but prayers and love to offer.

You are all an inspiration.

God Bless xx

I am so, so sorry to hear this expat. Thinking of you and your family.

mrssmooth · 08/07/2012 00:12

I don't want to go to bed for fear of what the morning may bring. I'm not religious, and i'm struggling to understand how & why this would happen to someone so young, but peace be with you Aillidh, in whatever journey you now take. Much love to all the expats. Its just so unfair Sad

DandyDan · 08/07/2012 00:13

Northernlurker · 08/07/2012 00:22

mrssmooth - this passage from the Psalms has been mentioned quite a lot on these threads 'weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning'. Never has it seemed closer to me. If tonight is the end of Ailidh's life then we will all grieve desperately for the years she won't have and for her family's grief. Her mother's breaking heart is so close to our hearts. But - Aillidh's parents trust God with their daughter. If you wake up in the morning and she's gone to be with Him then she'll be home safe and nothing will ever harm her again and she will be reunited with her mother one day. Nothing that is with God can be lost. I believe with all my heart in a loving and merciful God and I can't tell you why this is happening like this. All I know is that God is love and that love has been with Aillidh from the moment she came in to the world and that love will be with her always.

PlasticFlamingo
That's a lovely post. Exactly what I want to say too. I have been sitting here crying and praying for a miracle and wishing the very best for Aillidh and like you hoping for a miracle. I feel as much love for Aillidh and her family as I do for my own family. I have only been following her story for a week or so and haven't been able to think about anyone else.

My heart is breaking too.

Aillidh, I wish you a peaceful and restful night and I hope you find the strength to fight on. You are so so brave and so so beautiful. Praying with all my heart for a miracle for you and your family. Goodnight for now and I will be thinking of you through the night and praying and hoping too. All my love to you, your mummy, daddy, brother, sister, family and friends. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
