In Expats own words last night

"Keep it coming, folks. She NEEDS this miracle*.

There is indeed power in our prayers and hopes and love.....and especially the amount of us lighting candles and taking time to just think about them. On my own part, pretty much everyone I know knows about our prayers for Aillidh....so many people thinking of her.

I pray today for continued strength for Expat, continued love for Aillidh, and continued hugs for Giraffes, who is there with them walking this tightrope and being a true angel.

xxxxx

Where the wave of moonlight glosses
The dim gray sands with light,
Far off by furthest Rosses
We foot it all the night,
Weaving olden dances
Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro we leap
And chase the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And anxious in its sleep.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Truly sorry.
Goodbye little girl.xx

I feel privileged and humbled to have seen a little of your path through life Aillidh. I'm just so sorry and bewildered at how short your path has been.

Enjoy heaven, I hear it's peaceful, fun, warm and sunny. Keep watching your family and especially your mum, and send them little comforts and signs you are there - because they will miss you up to the moon and back down.

mackerella · 08/07/2012 01:26

I'm so very sorry to hear about this :( Aillidh has touched the hearts of so many people, and inspired so much faith.

Caramelia · 08/07/2012 01:29

Treedelivery, that was just lovely.

Thumbwitch · 08/07/2012 01:31

annalovesmrbates · 08/07/2012 01:49

RIP dear Aillidh.

Thumbwitch · 08/07/2012 01:54

(((Hugs))) for you too UA.

eyestightshut · 08/07/2012 01:57

I am sorry for your troubles, Expat and family.
What a way for your girl to go- surrounded by those who loved her. Aillidh and those who loved her are surrounded by the love and goodwill of many thousands of people. Not many of us will ever claim that. To top it all, how many of us have signed up to give blood, donate bone marrow, and raise money for charity, inspired by Aillidh and her brave fight?
Very few who have a longer lifetime could claim to achieve what Aillidh achieved in her nine short years. She will never be forgotten.
Sending you and your family much love and strength from me and my family xxx

AllYoursBabooshka · 08/07/2012 01:58

I will still burn a candle tomorrow for your bright soul.

You were so amazingly strong and fought so hard, Rest now Little One.

DS woke up and I told him about an Angel called Aillidh because that's what you are, An Angel.

TALLULAHBELLE · 08/07/2012 01:58

So so sorry. No other words.

StealthPolarBear · 08/07/2012 01:58

I am so sorry :( goodnight and rest in peace Ailidh

GColdtimer · 08/07/2012 01:59

Rest in peace little one. Nobody could have fought harder. And love to expat and family. My 6 year old dd recently said that "when someone dies they still live on in the hearts of those that loved them". Aillidh will live on in the hearts of many.

AllYoursBabooshka · 08/07/2012 02:01

If you need anything Expat, We are here for you and your family. Anything

hopkinette · 08/07/2012 02:03

So very sorry Expat. I've been turned away before as a bone marrow donor but I'm going to try again, in Aillidh's name.

AlmostAHipster · 08/07/2012 02:04

I cannot begin to imagine the pain of losing a child. My heart aches for the family and can only wish them strength to face this terrible tragedy.

I hope that someday, the happy memories of your precious little girl give you comfort and that she knew how very loved she is.
