In Expats own words last night

"Keep it coming, folks. She NEEDS this miracle*.

There is indeed power in our prayers and hopes and love.....and especially the amount of us lighting candles and taking time to just think about them. On my own part, pretty much everyone I know knows about our prayers for Aillidh....so many people thinking of her.

I pray today for continued strength for Expat, continued love for Aillidh, and continued hugs for Giraffes, who is there with them walking this tightrope and being a true angel.

I have "known" expat and her family for years, I've visited Aillidh in hospital, I have followed her story every day from the bruise on her leg. Every morning I log on to see how she is.

All I can think of is "why?"

I'm heartbroken for them all.

stressheaderic · 07/07/2012 22:25

Moved to tears to read the latest update.
Thoughts are with you all. Wishing you love, comfort and strength.
The whole of Mumsnet is with you, it really is x

Northernlurker · 07/07/2012 22:25

The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
forever

Waiting and praying is all we can do now. Our prayers are heard. In this darkest valley we are not alone and live or die Aillidh is safe in God's hands.

Eskarina · 07/07/2012 22:25

May the Lord God Almighty hold you all very close, bless you and keep you through the night, whatever it may bring.
Love to you all xx

Once there was a way
To get back homeward
Once there was a way
To get back home
Sleep pretty darling and do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby
Golden slumbers fill your eyes
Smiles await you when you rise
Sleep pretty darling and do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby

Wishitwaswarmer · 07/07/2012 22:26

I am so sorry to read the latest update. Aillidh you have been a true inspiration to so many people who you have never even met. You are an incredibly strong, brave and beautiful little girl. We will now await God's will. I too am still praying for a miracle. Please try not to be scared:
"For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?
Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance."
All my love to Aillidh and her family x

goodgrace · 07/07/2012 22:28

Jo178 · 07/07/2012 22:28

May the long time sun
Shine upon you,
All love surround you,
And the pure light within you
Guide your way on.

Aillidh is clearly a dearly loved little girl and has touched the lives of so many.

I wish the family peace and calm as they face the night and hold onto the hope of a miracle touching them xx

There must many, many thousands of hearts breaking tonight, mine only one of them. I'm hoping for a miracle, but wishing you all the strength in the world tonight. xxx

ExitPursuedByABear · 07/07/2012 22:29

Ah shit. My heart bleeds for Expat and her family.

outtolunchagain · 07/07/2012 22:29

I cannot imagine the heartbreak that expat and family are going through and can think of no words that are meaningful ,Sad

At my sons leaving service this week ,our wonderful chaplain talked about how wherever we go we leave a mark there and that place leaves a mark on us,and I thought of Ailidh and how many lives she has touched in her short brave life.I am praying for a miracle and we have just lit a big fat candle and pray that Ailidh may still be here when it has gone.

mumat39 · 07/07/2012 22:29

psychomum, big hugs and much love to you and your family too. xxx

Agree with what others have said - all of MN is with you expat. Sending love as always.

laughinglil · 07/07/2012 22:32

Praying tonight for a miracle x candle has been lit, prayers have been spoken. Followed expats story and this is just devasting. Sending all my strength to Aillidh x

madhairday · 07/07/2012 22:32

Oh darling Aillidh. You have changed lives. You have bought thousands together in thought and prayer and overwhelming love. I can't find the words, dear girl.

^So forget the wars you've been in today
Because nothing can disturb you now
Round your bed are stationed Heaven's armies
So lay down, weary child, lay down
Little angel, go to sleep
Because Father's here and He will keep you safe
Father's here and He will keep you safe.^

Praying for that miracle, and praying for peace beyond understanding, and praying without words, because words are few and our spirits all ache with longing for you sweetheart and for your family.

fuzzpig · 07/07/2012 22:32

Hoping you find peace, precious aillidh, wherever that may be :( xxx
