prayers, candles, chants, hand holding for Aillidh.....love is a strong force and can make miracles.

In Expats own words last night

"Keep it coming, folks. She NEEDS this miracle*.

There is indeed power in our prayers and hopes and love.....and especially the amount of us lighting candles and taking time to just think about them. On my own part, pretty much everyone I know knows about our prayers for Aillidh....so many people thinking of her.

I pray today for continued strength for Expat, continued love for Aillidh, and continued hugs for Giraffes, who is there with them walking this tightrope and being a true angel.

lougle that's what I thought when reading the Facebook comments. Especially from those who had loved ones survive. Think Leigh is reading Facebook but not MN so quite likely to be swayed by those stories if survival against the odds.

Someone here also mentioned brain activity tests may have been done.

ThisWeekonFancyPuffin · 07/07/2012 15:39

I agree Lougle.

I am sending strength, love and peace to Ailldh, Leigh and family for whatever outcome.

chipmonkey · 07/07/2012 15:39

Am in work but praying, praying, praying that the doctors are wrong.

JustFabulous · 07/07/2012 15:39

I think people posting it isn't your time is just the same as people posting on other threads that they are sure a miscarriage won't happen, or their dh hasn't cheated or their child will pass their exams. It is how people convey their hopes. No one really knows for sure anything thorough a computer screen but we all want and hope for the best and are just expressing that the only way they, and we, know how.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 07/07/2012 15:40

Thinking of you all.

FranticBanana · 07/07/2012 15:41

Praying that whatever happens Aillidh and her family can feel how much love and strength is being sent their way. I'm sure someone will have shared the new FB update by the time I've finished typing, but it seems hope is not lost just yet.

JustFabulous · 07/07/2012 15:41

UPDATE

"Her lead consultant is of the opinion to carry on. We are as well. If it is the will of God for her to go, He will come for her or let us know. He has not done either so we shall carry on."

Wheredidmyyouthgo · 07/07/2012 15:46

This is very hard for me to write and I do not want to upset anyone. Least of all Expat.
Whatever expat says or thinks is totally right and I can tell that she will do what is right for her girl.
But I found it incredibly difficult and distressing when people told me not to give up on Billie.
I had to decide what to do. I never 'gave up'. And nor will Expat, whatever she decides.
So please everyone, with your kind thoughts and sincere wishes, bear this in mind.

ICutMyFootOnOccamsRazor · 07/07/2012 15:52

Wishing you all much love. This must be so indescribably tough on everyone.

olivo · 07/07/2012 15:52

Wishing you strength and courage, and sending love to you all.

JustFabulous · 07/07/2012 15:54

MrsDV - you are strong and kind and very wise.

Hope you are okay.

Almostfifty · 07/07/2012 15:54

I spend all day I'm home popping in and out of these threads. I imagine most people are the same. Keep fighting wee one. xx

BreastmilkDoesAFabLatte · 07/07/2012 15:56

Praying still.

But I agree with Lougle: let's not make this into a fight against the medical team. Sometimes switching off a machine in order to allow a person to die gently is the most compassionate thing, and I'm sure Leigh and all the family are aware of that. Whereas we all want Aillidh to live, it's not for us to comment on the best course of action.

ilovesprouts · 07/07/2012 15:56

Aillidh keep fighting xx

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2012 15:56

Wishing strength to them all to carry on fighting and to deal with all they have to deal with.
Also hoping they are eating and sleeping

everybodysang · 07/07/2012 15:57

Oh MrsDV. This must be bringing back some difficult memories for you. One of the few who will really know how Expat is feeling.

I can't imagine how difficult this must be. I hope you all feel the love surrounding you. All here to support you through whatever happens.

annalovesmrbates · 07/07/2012 15:57

I am thinking of you all so much today and praying that the family and doctors carry on making the right decisions for this precious girl. God bless you all.
