I won't pretend this thread is anything other than pure nosiness - what are your children's main Christmas presents this year? I know this will vary according to age, but I'm trying to get a feel for what will be exopected of me when dd grows up ... and how much £££ I'm going to have to save for it (gulp)

This year DD (14 months) will be having a ride-on-car and 3 cuddly fimbles as her main present.

OP posts:

wewishyouaClaryChristmas · 05/12/2005 00:11

so interesting seeing what others buy!
My main prezzies are:
ds1 (6) Magnetix, £10 from Asda (bought by DH months ago)
DD dolls cot, £10 from Argos (not branded at that price)
DS2 Playmobil pirate ship (the smaller one, dh nabbed it for £10! in JLP in the summer). He wil literally wet himself when he sees it.
That all sounds cheap but it's what they want. They also have books, a game each (eg orchard Toys), DVD for DD, jigsaw, dress-up bits for ds2, plus big sackful of stocking fillers (prob about £20 each in there )
It can vary tho - last year's big prezzie for ds1 was a £75 bike; for ds2 it was a £4 train track thingy bought at the school fair!
