I loved this thread last time someone did it and thought it would be nice to do a Christmassy one.

I'll start ...

I'm mumsnetting doing the last of the Christmas cards (I know, I know, but better late than never!) and DP and DS are eating mince pies in front of the telly.

DH and ds are upstairs wrapping last minute gifts! I am mning cos have - prepped veg, cooked ham, turkey is cooking, tidied up (a bit!) rescued washing from the washing machine which cannot drain as it has frozen up - today already! Just the meringue to make later (leave in the oven overnight) and then we are all off to mil's tomorrow. Happy christmas everyone!

I am in the front lounge avoiding PIL mning!

DD3 asleep, DD1 on the sofa unwell and dd2 watching a christmas film with PIL.

Dh cleaning kitchen, well he has to do it once before year over.

House clean ish and tidy ish

The pringles have been popped and DS1 and 2 are eating a bowlful each while they watch DH play some game on the wii. DD is watching too but not eating. I am waiting for cake to come out of oven before I go to shops for some bargainous reductions....

DP has been let home from work early so DS is perched on his knee and they're playing some sort of game on the PC. DD is having a sleep on me. Soon as she wakes I'm cracking open the wine, having a mince pie and sorting the last of the laundry. Then roll on bedtime!

I have just dyed my hair a festive carrot colour (not quite what I'd planned) and now have DS2 asleep on my lap while I listen to 9 Lessons & carols. DS1 is upstairs having his hair washed by DH who still has some presents to wrap.

In pyjamas, boys watching Coraline, I'm doing a mountain of ironing, we're all nursing colds/chest infections :( and DP is out getting last few bits for Crimbo.

DS playing the wii, dd and dp upstairs hoovering every inch of floor and im on here!!

attempting to get crimbo songs on youtube while DD is sat on her table in the front room brushing crumbs from the table of mince pies onto the floor, while DS is pulling at my top attempting to get at my boobs, and Dh is trying to find tights so we can run the children before they actually destroy the house!

watching the fantastic Mr Fox, me mning, dh fallen asleep upsatairs...lazy arse.

I need to get a move on, Parents expected in an hour and I have so much to do. One last post on MN, then I move!!

DD1 is at work hundreds of miles away and wont make it home for Christmas. To add to her misery I have just had a text from her and she has split from her boyfriend. (was supposed to be staying there for a nice Christmas. sad])

DD2 is looking very pale and moaning about the cold.

DD3 and her boyfriend are moaning about the cold watching TV in the lounge.

DS is at a friends house playing on X box

DD4 is driving me crazy!! annoying 13 year old chatter and chat-back with mega attitude!

DH at work until 7pm.

Right, oven needs to be warmed and filled. Have a good Christmas everyone!

We've just got back from the cinema. We went to see Harry Potter again, then for lattes and mince pies. There were only 12 people in the cinema - lovely!

Now dp is shovelling the path; dd1 is running a bath; dd2 has got ALL of her old cuddly toys out from under the bed and is knitting them Christmas hats and scarves!

I've just wrapped the last couple of presents and am now MNing and eating tangerines before starting getting dinner ready to have when we get back from carolling later.

DH is still working, I'm finishing off some work.

DCs are scattered around the house doing their own things. By the regular buzzing noise, DD1 is in near constant contact with her friends via text.

When DH gets home we will get ready to go over to my mum's house for our traditional chinese takeaway. We arent ready, the house is a tip but what the heck, let the revels begin!

About to settle down to watch It's a Wonderful Life beofre I get cracking on the meal

DH has taken DS to the local park to play in the (fast melting) snow.

DD is pottering around the play room wittering to herself about 'Merry Kissmas' (that's her name for Father Christmas - she's 2 yrs old, btw!).

I am sitting next to her scoffing Quality Street watching her play and MN-ing, trying to put off having to go upstairs and tidy up a bit.

Will shortly be putting both kids in the bath and into their Xmas PJs

Then getting the bubbly out.

ds is reading his book on the couch, dd is playing a game and I am watching The Queen

they have been angelic today - carried most of the food shopping when we were out, helped me clean the floors and finish the washing, sigh.

I want to frame today and keep it forever! It's so rare!

DH has taken DD to PIL. Then they will all go, with two other little cousins to the local Christingle service (not even sure what that is!). They won't be back until about 8 so in the meantime I am, as a recovering ill person, very slowly and lethargically trying to tidy up a bit. Although at the moment I am watching The Queen and drinking tea.

I am sort of preparing high tea for 4.15 so we can go to the crib service and then on to friends for drinks. DH and DDs are playing wii tennis in between sitting on each other.

2 week old DD asleep after feeding ALL NIGHT, DS1 and DS2 watching TV in their PJ's... me in Pj's trying to muster enough energy to make ginger bread with Ds's, DH out replenishing the Port and Cava.....Parents wondering around the house getting on my nerves already

It is 37 mins into Christmas Day here. DH is snoozing on sofa and I am watching tv. We are waiting for our overexcited teenagers to calm down and go to sleep before we can do the stockings.

Both of mine are in bed (not asleep), i feel ill (think i'm getting the flu) and i have to go outside to the car to get dd's presents. I think i am as excited as the kids, even though i feel rough and have tooth ache i'm still going to enjoy watching the dd's faces in the morning .
