I loved this thread last time someone did it and thought it would be nice to do a Christmassy one.

I'll start ...

I'm mumsnetting doing the last of the Christmas cards (I know, I know, but better late than never!) and DP and DS are eating mince pies in front of the telly.

I'm about to try and cook the turkey (if it will fit in the oven. Dh is cleaning the house, dd's are playing lego and pig goes pop (dd2 is still in pj's as i havn't got round to changing her). I have just made mini pavlova's and peeled sprouts .

DH and DCs are visiting FIL's grave.
I'm MNing and having a coffee and mince pie before tackling the last of the housework.

Dh is on his way home.
I am cooking ham.
DSs are making their houses look festive on Animal Crossing.

DD has iced last minute Xmas cake. DS2 is emptying dishwasher.DS1 is skulking in room. DH is tidying office/dining room. I have decorated the mantlepiece and am now MNing supervising everyone else.

DH has man flu a bad cough and cold so is in isolation in the spare bedroom. DS2 is asleep and DS1 is watching Octonauts. I am putting off tackling the washing and tidying!

At my mum's, staring at the cheese sandwiches I have made but am not allowed to touch till she gets back from the shops.

Fruit terrine setting in fridge, cranberries simmering on stove, DS refusing to sleep upstairs

I'm still in my PJs waiting for the kettle to boil so i can finish mopping the floors and head up for a shower. Bloody AF just started too so I'm in a mood now, I've never had a period come exactly a month after the last in my life but i knew it fucking would for Christmas!

Ds' are watching TV, Dora I think. non verbal ds2 said 'yeah' a little while ago when offered a biscuit so I've been spoiling him a little as a reward

dp and dd are at the shops (I hope, either that or stuck at the side of the road due to snow... they've been gone kinda long now)

cats are sprawled all over the lace, they keep trying to sit on the playmobil advent scenes and drink the mop water

I've just finished the last of the wrapping, done the ironing and am now bf'ing DD and waiting for DH to get home so he can do his wrapping and other last min stuff. I'm really hoping this won't involve a panicked trip to town

I was wrapping presents for DS and DD but have stopped due to point 1.
Am now cleaning out a stick insect tank and will be making mince pies soon

Aaand DS has just falen asleep. So I'm eating crisps and just about to start manic present wrapping and probably making some old slightly manky carrots into soup before I lose them completely.

DD and I are watching Come Outside, and eating seed and nut bars - yum.

DP's cleaning the bathrooms - yay!

The dog's running around in the snow, sniffing out the treats I hid for her earlier.

Ah, the house is clean and Christmassy. Bring it on, Santa! I can't wait! :)

I have a couple of pressies left to wrap, we are also tracking Santa on Norad

I am lucky that I am going to my mum's tomorrow so I don't have to cook

just finished neighbours christmas cards (late i know but we like posting them as a family on xmas eve), bf then getting covered in sick by 5mo dd after dh put her in 'known reflux-positions'

Meg me and ds are also watching Octonauts. He is eating bread and squeezy jam (ketchup) as it's the only thing he can keep down (tummy bug) and I am hoping and praying I don't catch it.

DH due home in 2 hours with emergency wrapping paper and tags, and shed loads of chocolate, so nothing to do til then but put off housework .

Curled up on sofa with dd (should be finishing off the ham that I cooked at silly o'clock this morning) watching a film with polar bears in/mnetting. Need to get back into the kitchen to complete leak & potato soup and mucho more bits. Also keeping a track of Santa. Choccy truffle anyone?

I'm sitting on the sofa after an emergency trip to Pets At Home when I broke the cat litter tray

DS1 and 2 are watching cbeebies and playing with their ikea wooden train sets. have actually managed to fight very little today.

ok, I lie. They are currently chasing each other round with cuddly dinosaurs and roaring at each other.

Dc's are playing in the lounge with Grandma

Dp is out flying his birds and buying alcohol

I'm in the kitchen hiding from MIL. Meat is in the oven cooking for meal this afternoon.

Im MNing at the mo, while waiting on DP popping in on his lunch break, kids are watching Dora and scoffing satsumas.

Once DP has gone back to work i will make some gingerbread stars and people wth dc and decorate them with stars and other glittery baking crap.

Need to clean and hoover living room and mop kitchen floor, but will wait till baking sesh is over.

DDs playing "being babies" in the sitting room whilst I try to cream butter and sugar together...the butter is like rock. DH in town having a pint doing his shopping.

I love it all!

Waiting for DH to get home from work then we can set off back to the folks 300 miles away, whilst packing and fasting as I have the craps, breastfeeding so cant take the drugs I ave to hand, whilst juggling a screaming 4 month old... Bah bleeding humbug!

I am about to wrap my last present.
Need to wash floors but dogs will just make filthy again so not much point.
Need to ice chocolate cake I made earlier.

This has to have be the most relaxing Xmas Eve I have had for years!

DP is trying to convince me that my Mum will like her gift.

Ds is on x-box.

I am full of co-op sherry trifle and thinking about wrapping the last few gifts.
I was hoping for a snooze but dsis has just announced she is on her way :).
