paisleyleaf · 01/07/2009 21:59

I just can't like bruce Springsteen....but can't help but like 'Streets of Philadelphia' (but I did love the film at the time).

Tinker · 01/07/2009 22:29

Oh, yes to Candy's Room. Much easier to think of stuff up to about 1990 - then not a great deal to write home about

Dalrymps · 01/07/2009 22:31

Too many to choose from. I do particularily like:

Born to run
Down by the river
Streets of Philadelphia

DollyPardonme · 01/07/2009 22:34

Born to run : best song of all time

Closely followed by Independence Day

And now in third place: Racing in the Streets (after seeing him on Sunday , can't get it out of my head...)

Hassled · 01/07/2009 22:36

The River. It takes me straight back to being 16 and discovering Bruce.

And then Born To Run - but only really because DS1 used to sing it when he was 4.

IrritableGrizzly · 02/07/2009 14:46

Thunder Road
Born To Run
The River
Bobby Jean

I love Bruce so much - have done since I was 14. I got the piss ripped out of me so much back then - makes me laugh now he's suddenly cool with the young'uns!

BigGitDad · 02/07/2009 15:01

Difficult to name one but I love Glory Days as that would be me having a beer with old mates laughing about what we got up to when we were younger.
Isn't Streets of Philedelphia good too? I saw the movie the other night and he nailed it with that song, absolutely.

CountessDracula · 02/07/2009 15:03

i love Independence Day
It makes my spine tingle

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 02/07/2009 15:07

Born to run I think...going to see Bruce on 14th July

AttilaTheMeerkat · 03/07/2009 07:55

It varies but I do particularly like the following:-

Meeting across the river
Jungleland
The Promise
New York City Serenade
Cadillac Ranch
Leah
Devils Arcade
The Wrestler

bruffin · 03/07/2009 08:18

Dancing in The Dark and Santa Claus

retiredgoth2 · 03/07/2009 08:20

This is a fine effort from Bruce.

...his voice isn't what it was, though.

harleyd · 03/07/2009 08:23

pmsl retiredgoth!

saintmaybe · 03/07/2009 08:35

Thunder road
dancing in the dark
Candy's room

frankly anything live with the band

springlamb · 03/07/2009 20:50

You expect us to name ONE song? No can do.

I have favourite lines from so many Bruce songs, all of which seem to fit my life.

Where you seeing him Fanjo? He was fab on Sunday at Hyde Park. I loved seeing my 14 year old really letting himself go!

CJCregg · 03/07/2009 20:58

Another vote for Independence Day, and The River.

Also love Sherry Darling, and have a bit of a soft spot for Little Girl I Want To Marry You!

I like the belt-them-out anthems, but my heart seems to be with the ballads ...

francagoestohollywood · 03/07/2009 21:03

Born to run
Thunder road
I'm on fire

francagoestohollywood · 03/07/2009 21:07
