How to safely get Taylor swift tickets???

Hi all

Have nothing short of a distraught 11 year old. Didn’t manage to get codes or tickets despite trying different ways. I’ve been keeping an eye on ticket master and axs for resale tickets but nothing seems to come up for two together. I’ve had a look at there are some silly price tickets on viagogo :( but I just feel awful that all her friends managed to get tickets and she is the only one without and is a huge fan. Are the tickets on viagogo likely to be genuine or could any be scam tickets? I’m not savvy with stuff like this so want some tips please if possible on where I can try my luck still and what to watch out for. Thank you :)

We went to the reputation concert there were empty seats! It was incredible too.

ThePassageOfTime · 24/05/2024 07:36

Viagogo is safe to buy from in that if you don't get into the concert they refund you,

But Ticketmaster have said they'll cancel any tickets sold through there.

However they have to catch you first!

I have viagogo tickets, so I'll literally be telling DD on the day that we're going to the concert but we might not get in!! 😭😭

It's going to be TENSE!!!!

I keep saying this!!! It’s crazy how much more massive she has gotten. Loads of new fans and/or loads coming out of the woodwork. In 2018 she did 6 dates in the whole of Europe and she didn’t sell out leading to articles titled Failure Swift - which in fairness was overly dramatic as the shows were well attended. I know someone who went to London night 1 and had such good time they went on ticketmaster and bought an unsold face value ticket the next day and went again. Reputation was such a good show.

Lovemylittlebear · 24/05/2024 10:36

Thanks all - I will take a little look at Liverpool and see what’s going on. I think she would enjoy sitting in a park and listening. I can’t seem to find anything for Cardiff on the net.

I can’t remember who asked but yes her two best friends (sisters) had tickets in the first round, her other best friend from since she was a baby got lucky with one of the extra shows and then two friends from school are going. One ticketmaster and one bought on a different site. It’s just her and one other friend that aren’t going at the moment in her little friendship group (although it looks like she might be travelling to Europe possibly).

sorry to hear some people have been kicked off AXS. In between work I’ve managed to check twice a day on both sites and nothing but fingers crossed :)

thanks all x

I used Viagogo a lot. If you buy them on the day the prices plummet. I saw Simple Minds for about half face value last month. I'm worried that they might be no good for Taylor though. Don't want to risk being turned away.

SuuzeeeQ · 24/05/2024 14:13

On reddit people bought viagogo and stubhub tickets on the day for Paris and Stockholm shows for face value. I think prices will go down but it’s a gamble. London in August could be popular again as so many people are flying in for the shows (but don’t have tickets yet) or are in London as tourists. Plus they are the last Europe gigs I think.

LosttandOld · 24/05/2024 16:21

I've just had an email from ticketmaster saying I'm off the wait list and can purchase tickets, there's quite a lot available so fingers crossed

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 24/05/2024 16:37

Someone has posted they have now released some side view and restricted view tickets for Murray field.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 24/05/2024 16:38

@Lovemylittlebear good luck!

Isitchill · 24/05/2024 17:07

lost was that for Edinburgh?

CaptainCarrotsBigSword · 24/05/2024 17:33

Good luck everyone! Fingers crossed for tickets for those still looking 🤞

beguilingeyes · 24/05/2024 22:38

Bloody AXS still telling me I'm a bit.

Isitchill · 25/05/2024 07:15

I've clicked ticketmaster more often than AXS and it doesn't think I'm a bot.

Did everyone else see the prize draw email yesterday evening? Another 350 (175 x 2) edinburgh tickets are coming for winning TTPD purchasers. I bought TTPD but can only do wembley.

Lovethistimeofyear · 25/05/2024 09:54

I got tickets!!

Someone up thread mentioned this…some restricted view tickets were released BUT by invite only. So if you were waitlisted last year and didn’t get a code this might be your chance for other venues.

We have the worst seats in the stadium but be are in!!

I’ve been on AXS this morning and only checked 3 nights…on the third I was listed as a BOT. I’ve checked Ticketmaster thousands of times with no issues. When they thought I was a BOT I had to hold my thumb down for a few seconds to get through. AXS is pathetic.

Isitchill · 25/05/2024 10:26

love well done!!

Was that with a code? I registered last year but never had a code yet.

CaptainCarrotsBigSword · 25/05/2024 11:34

Whoop! Really happy for you @Lovethistimeofyear

fruitpastille · 25/05/2024 12:20

Don't buy from viagogo or stubhub. If anything goes wrong it is impossible to contact them. I was turned away from Green day a couple of years ago and in the end had to do a credit card section 75 to get my money back. Thankfully I hadn't used a debit card. It didn't make up for the disappointment though.

Lovemylittlebear · 25/05/2024 13:03

Oh well done :)

only registered for Cardiff and no code sadly. Fingers crossed still x

@Isitchill yes - my friend didn’t get a code last year and was sent it yesterday.

So keep an eye out

Lovethistimeofyear · 25/05/2024 14:02

Hopefully as we get closer to other events there will be other opportunities to buy restricted view.

We are delighted…I wish our tickets were better but we are in.

Icandoitwithabrokenheart · 26/05/2024 09:03

Viagogo is a risk - lots of people have got in with tickets in other European countries.

The risk with the UK is that they have explicitly said no secondary selling sites and Ed Sheeran cancelled all viagogo tickets for his gigs - always the chance this will be the same. The only thing is that Ed then offered face value tickets in place - so you went to the concert, the viagogo ticket was turned down and then you had to go to a special station and they’d give you a letter so you could claim a refund from viagogo and you could buy a face value ticket.
That’s not bad as you’d get the extortionate money refunded from viagogo and still
be able to go in. Even though the queues are the stations were approx two hours long.
However - Taylor hasn’t said she is doing this so we don’t know. It could be that the ticket transfers to you and you get in. Or it could be that the ticket never transfers. Or it could be that the ticket is cancelled by the venue.

I am having the same dilemma!
I also have someone on fb selling two tickets (she has four and is using the other two) and a massively inflated price. I do think she is genuine (unlike 99.9%) but she is also looking to make some some cash. She has the tickets on stubhub too.
So I am torn there as well.

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 26/05/2024 09:46

@Icandoitwithabrokenheart

How do they know it's a viagogo ticket (assuming you still transfer via axs / ticketmaster platform?) and not just one you have transferred yourself?

Icandoitwithabrokenheart · 26/05/2024 09:50

They can trace it with the dynamic bar code I think - and also there is a suggestion that bots sweep viagogo for tickets and when the ticket is no longer listed it’s assumed to be sold and so then is blocked.
Some touts - who have loads of tickets because they used bots to buy them - will be flagged through the barcode.
It’s a risk - might be fine. Might not be. Ed Sheeran knew somehow and cancelled 10,000 tickets.

JustPleachy · 26/05/2024 10:07

I’m confused by Ticketmaster at the moment. I had a code at first release, bought 2 tickets but only the VIP ones were available, decided I couldn’t justify £1,200 and reluctantly sold them. I’ve been regularly checking back for cheaper tickets.

I’m now getting an error saying that sale is only for invited fans. Does this mean there has been another ticket release and my original code isn’t valid for it?

How to safely get Taylor swift tickets???
