Just wondering if anyone else managed to to get Pulp tickets today, all my 20 something year old work colleagues had no idea who Pulp were and though I was mad for being so excited!

I'm going to TRSMT too, and I'm also far too old, even 21yr old Dd wouldn't be seen dead there.
Some young Ned had better not puke on me!

thesunwillout · 05/11/2022 13:01

Really hoping they announce some more dates like Manchester, Birmingham Bristol.

I saw them in 1993 in a very Avant gard show in a theatre in London.
It was spell binding.
I've seen them a few other times and then lastly at the Eden Project about 20 yrs ago, after I'd left London.

Cardiff venue motorpoint is great but Ticketmaster was being a dick.
I gave up.

Early 50's here with dd late teens.

Well done anyone who got tickets, I read Jarvis is really chuffed.

waterlego · 05/11/2022 13:04

Yes, me! I am seeing them in Cardiff with my University friend. It will be the fourth time I’ve seen them, and 25 years since I saw them for the first time (with the same friend). Can’t wait

Bobbybobbins · 05/11/2022 13:04

Yep! Got Sheffield seated tickets at vast cost but sure it'll be fab!

VivienneDelacroix · 05/11/2022 13:08

Yes, me! Last saw them at Wembley in 1996! And Glasto 1995.

FartOutLoudDay · 05/11/2022 13:10

Got some for DH’s Christmas present! He was all sad last night when he saw his emails about tickets going on sale as he’d missed out and I had to pretend to be all sad too. I’m rubbish at keeping secrets so hopefully can bite my tongue until Christmas day!

Our bigger problem will be accommodation, hotels in Sheffield really cashing in (I can’t blame them). Anyone know how easy it is to get to Rotherham from the arena? We’re not local!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/11/2022 13:18

Me too!!

l live in Sheffield. Just a trotdown the road.

Dd 16 told me some of her friends had got tickets because ‘ everyone likes music from different eras now’

I’m wildly excited!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/11/2022 12:45

@FartOutLoudDay Rotherham 35 mins away.

gogohmm · 06/11/2022 14:45

No very sad , hoping for further releases. Couldn't try until too late. If by chance anyone has spare Cardiff tickets (2 or actually 1 and want a new friend Grin) pm me!

soupmaker · 06/11/2022 14:58

No and I'm so sad about it. We've booked a holiday which spans a lot of the dates.

Only Scottish date bloody TRNSMT. A fate worse than death itself.

I could have done Bridlington but the logistics weren't on my side.

Anyhow, have an amazing time y'all. They are stupendous. Saw them 3 times in '94 - T in the Park, supporting Blur at Alexandra Palace and in a theatre on Drury Lane. Numerous times since, plus Jarvis on his own. So shouldn't be so sad, but it would have been just fabulous to relive my youth!

GearBots · 06/11/2022 15:09

Yes! Going to Finsbury Park with a bunch of school friends. We all went together in 1996- it was the night after the Brits and no one was sure that Jarvis would be released in time. We still talk about it being one of best gigs ever been to. Very excited to be going with the same group of friends.

And Wet Leg in support was the icing on the cake- having missed out on their tour.

legosunqueen · 06/11/2022 19:28

Gutted that I tried & failed to get tickets for Sheffield- then today didn't get Glasto tickets either. I love Pulp - please DM me if anyone has 2 spare tickets for the Friday...otherwise I will hope that they announce a Sunday gig there too...

EnolaAlone · 06/11/2022 19:41

Yes, I got standing tickets for the Saturday night in Sheffield, very relieved and excited! Last time I saw them was Sheffield in 2012 and it was amazing.

NotMyDayJob · 06/11/2022 19:58

I missed the whole thing (distracted by a baby) and then a friend asked if I wanted to go to Finsbury Park as they had bought a couple of extra tickets for the friends they knew would want to go. It's about 25 years since I last saw pulp at Finsbury Park so I can't wait!

NotMyDayJob · 06/11/2022 19:58

However I have no idea who Wet Leg are 🤣

Just booked for Dublin…thought make a weekend of it…and now realised in middle of DS1 GCSEs … 😭

I wanted Sheffield…no original tickets left, just twice face value upward on the ticket reselling sites :(

byronsbrain · 06/11/2022 21:50

I got Saturday tickets for Sheffield. Logged on at 9am and there were already 12,000 in the queue! Feel very lucky. They were the first ever band I saw live when I was 17 many many years ago.

I also saw them at Drury Lane 94, for the first time!!!

Yorkshiredolls · 07/11/2022 19:31

Me me me 😍did a squeal of delight when I managed to get standing tickets for Saturday at Sheffield for me and DH, thats our Christmas present to each other now sorted. Then friends in Sheffield managed to get them too and offered us to crash with them. I am toooo excited. Then told colleague who’s 28 how excited I was and she was very much meh and bemused about what a big deal it was for me 😄

libertine80 · 12/11/2022 10:41

Got tickets for Bridlington which is the 6th time for both me and DH. I saw them Glasto 95 and Manchester 96, he saw them in 92 and 93! We have then seen them 3 times together. These gigs had such demand and are so big. Crazy to think that 20 years ago they were only playing Manchester Apollo sized venues.

GroomedForSerfdom · 13/11/2022 07:42

Going to see them at Neighbourhood in Warrington. I'm well excited, I've seen Jarvis solo but never seen Pulp

Stickortwister · 16/11/2022 10:25

I also got blur tickets this morning. So fucking excited about next july now 😍😍😍

EachandEveryone · 16/11/2022 14:02

In my fantasy they will both be playing Glasto

Rainbowshit · 20/02/2023 19:40

We've got tickets for Bridlington. Looking for one more of anyone has any to spare?
