Here we are, a week after Prince suddenly passed away. This is a thread to grieve, share your memories, thoughts, stories, videos and songs.

Let's keep on supporting each other in the name of The Beautiful One.

Been away from this thread for a few days as DH is pretty ill (was admitted to hospital on Tuesday with a perforated appendix - still in there and not doing great), great to catch up with all the links etc. Love the "suddenly it was like the violet strip was snuffed right out of the rainbow" quote.

We're off to Glastonbury too EachandEveryone - am incredibly excited about the Prince parties (and also the Bowie tributes - and am assuming that there will also be tributes to the other artists that have died such as Glenn Frey, Paul Kantner, Maurice White and Lemmy)!

Oh and not forgetting Phife Dawg as well - that was pretty gutting too, love Tribe Called Quest.

Glad to see that Arsenio Hall is suing Sinead O'Connor for $5million over shocking claims he supplied Prince with drugs. Just as ridiculous as her claims of a punch up with Prince herself!

Im just getting ready to go out. Yes, i realise its the afternoon. Going to Camden. It will be weird seeing KoKo. I just put spotify on. Its the first time ive had the urge to listed to him loud whilst im getting ready. Nothing on Spotify. Nothing anywhere. It doesnt seem right.

Nope - nothing on Spotify, all his stuff is exclusively on Tidal :( Have transferred all his CD's that we have of him on to my phone (i.e. uploaded to iTunes and dragged on to phone) so I can play them in the car or on Sonos (have been annoying the neighbours by playing him in all rooms!). Have also spent a small fortune on the Discogs website buying his albums on vinyl (had a couple but want to get the full set).

I was following someone on spotify who had all his music on there before it was pulled. I was gutted.
Those fans who'd follow him for years must be particularly hurting

HRH if you go onto prince.org there's many people on there who stayed fans for years who are pretty devastated by his death. Is v sad to read.

I had a lot of his stuff on Spotify too which has now gone. So glad pp uploaded his stuff onto YouTube and it wasn't immediately deleted. I've got a lot of his old stuff on vinyl but nothing to play it on!

I have had Prince playing on a loop in my car for the last two weeks, the DDs (4 and 9) now sing along. 4yo always puts in a request for Little Red Corvette, 9yo favours When Doves Cry

DS (12) looks at me somewhat pityingly when it comes on and says "still Prince?"

It's so sad reading all the articles about him, agree with PPs no one seems to have anything bad to say about him (it sounds like he was hard work to work for but amazingly empowering...would have been worth it to be so close to such talent!)

I just so love the fact that he wrote a song called Jack U Off! what are we going to do without him? I was all set to go & get my symbol tattoo today & then remembered I'm doing a 10k run on Sunday so mightn't have been the best timing.
