Whenever it's cold and rainy (I live in the North, this is often) and I'm walking down the street I often feel like I'm in a film and it makes me think of this lyric.

I love the Beautiful South. Seen them many, many times!

Yes, it was!! Not quite as impressive but I saw them once. There aren't enough proper songwriters around now. I like the Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott albums so maybe there is hope of them reforming. I hope so because I always liked Paul's partnership with Dave Rotheray. And that is The Housemartins 'Build'! Another great choice!!!

I had a feeling those lyrics were Dub be good... Wasn't sure though as it's not your usual taste!

You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like Craig Cash's voice over on it and everything, it is such a good documentary! The Beautiful South were so underrated ... I like how that documentary implies how Paul Heaton is just as prolific as Noel Gallagher but doesn't get the same recognition. His lyrics are always so thoughtful. I'm getting his new album with Jacqui Abbott for Christmas and really looking forward to it, loved the last one. That is so cool about your ex looking like him!

'Dub Be Good to Me', is a classic! I like all sorts of music really, a lot of (good) dance music, usually things like Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers and so on ... the 90's big beat stuff I guess.

Hello! Yes, it was Love Wars by either The Beautiful South or the original by Womack and Womack from the album of the same name in 1983. Good album! And yours is The Clash 'North and South'. Good choice!
