Mine is "it was cold and it rained and I felt like an actor"

Whenever it's cold and rainy (I live in the North, this is often) and I'm walking down the street I often feel like I'm in a film and it makes me think of this lyric.

I can hardly keep up with you lot but am enjoying this thread. You're directing me back to songs I haven't listened to for yonks .

I remember seeing Elvis Costello at the Royal Court in Liverpool and he sang:

I was living on the other side of Liverpool (New Brighton) at the time and felt exactly like that!
