Hmm, interesting and bizarre sounding theory. Satanism in music.

I randomly stumbled across someone discussing this on here so I did alot of research and the findings have actually been quite shocking, it would seem tha a lot of celebs beyonce rhianna and jay z all seem to openly worship, from their hand gestures to what they wear etc.

I am fully aware this sounds totally bizarre and I assure you I am not insane, but have a Google and post your feed back. (can't do links as I'm on mobile) :)

'But science doesn't believe in symbols being dangerous'

That's why I don't put all my trust in science. God gave me common sense and I use it. I think if people daubed swastika symbols on houses, good people (not the 'forever young') would understand that those symbols were dangerous.

nenevomito · 20/03/2011 14:21

Oh Fuck. Just realised someting. I've seen that hand sign before. You know the one where they put their hands together to make the pyramid sign.

Twice a week for years, I was exposed to that hand sign...

as 30 screaming toddlers sang "twinkle twinkle little star" at play group.

NiceBears · 20/03/2011 14:21

Oh it goes back way further than 60 years. Mozart wrote the Magic Flute. That was all about Zoroastrianism and features lots of magic symbolism.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:21

I said Science needs to be the new religion. Why? Why are all religious people suddenly deluded, thick, figures of fun? It's all for a reason

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 14:22

Wasn't Freddie Mercury a Zoroastrian? Or am I thinking of something else?

Is nobody even going to try and get the answer out of me?

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:24

In fact, having studied Psychology, I can tell you that not all Science is objective, as researchers themselves, as human beings, cannot stand fully outside of what they are studying.

Virgowoo · 20/03/2011 14:25

Are you all right ShinyMoon?

NiceBears · 20/03/2011 14:25

I'm doing my best, despite a waning interest as I see no thunderbolts and smell no sulphur.

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 14:27

No Virgowoo, I know the answer and nobody cares :( [weeps]

nenevomito · 20/03/2011 14:27

Pink - the thing about religion is it requires a leap of faith and believing in things which don't have empirical proof.

Science, however is based on theory that you then prove / disprove with experiments so you then have empirical proof.

No scientist would come out with a theory that relied on a leap of faith and also required that no one tried to disprove it. They would expect people to try to prove it so they could establish it as fact OR seek out a new theory to explain something.

The reason why your posts are making less and less sense is because you are failing to understand these basics.

Virgowoo · 20/03/2011 14:28

I care, tell me in a whisper.

nenevomito · 20/03/2011 14:29

I care Shiney.

Not sure about the Freddie M / Zoroastrian thing though. Fascinating religion, Zoroastrianism.

NiceBears · 20/03/2011 14:29

I'm nosy, I'll listen Shiny. PM me if you don't want to spoil it for everyone else.

Babyheave. IncyWincy Spider is a bit dodgy too.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:32

Oh I get the basics. And Scientists do make leaps of faith, which is why people with mental illness are being stuck into categories that mean they never get the treatment they need.
Experiments are artificial situations, they don't always work for studying the complexities of human behaviour, beliefs, emotions.

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 14:33

I've just checked his biography and did a quick internet search and his family were followers of Zoroastrianism.

I'm not sure I want to tell you now. It might not be part of the plan...

MrsBaphomet · 20/03/2011 14:33

You know not who I am? I am a goat-headed being who uncannily resembles a pose Rihanna once did with her arms akimbo.

Have you not read the thread in it's magnificent entirety?

Once again Mwahahahaha

NiceBears · 20/03/2011 14:34

How did we get from Satan/God/Music to Science/Behaviour/Emotions? Hmm

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:34

Because beliefs cannot be directly measured by scientific means (not questionnaires) does that mean they don't exist? Do attitudes exist?

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/03/2011 14:35

Oh sod it, it's ALIENS of course!

I'm surprised no-one has suggested them already. It's so obvious with all the probing and mind control and crop circles. Men in Black had it right - these celebrities are in fact aliens.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:36

Because people are saying as there is no scientific argument, there is no argument at all.

colditz · 20/03/2011 14:36

maybe scientists do make leaps of faith but they don't predict damnation for those who say "Are you sure you've thought about this properly?"

Science is the belief of the facts you have observed. When the observable facts change, so does the scientist's belief. Faith is the denial of facts so that belief can be preserved. When the observable facts change, the faithful close their eyes so as not to observe anything heretical.

Virgowoo · 20/03/2011 14:36

I read that as Science/Behaviour/Emoticons and got more confused for a second. Grin

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:38

Scientists do not always change their beliefs when it suits them not to. Not in human sciences

colditz · 20/03/2011 14:39

And of course attitudes exist, and the RESULTS of these attitudes can be measured, but I want to see the RESULTS of these attitudes before I will believe that the attitudes are having an impact. I want to see the impact.

pinkfluffyprincess · 20/03/2011 14:39

And I haven't damned anyone. They can stick their imagery up their hole, I'm not swallowing it
