Created for SOCKSHOP

THIS PRODUCT TEST RECRUITMENT IS NOW CLOSED

We’re recruiting UK-based Mumsnet users with a child aged 1-14 to test SOCKSHOP’s bamboo socks for sensitive feet.

  • Selected testers will receive a pack of SOCKSHOP bamboo socks for one child in their household to test.
  • Testers will be asked to feed back via a thread on Mumsnet and a short survey.
  • All testers who leave their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky tester will win a £100 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Here’s what SOCKSHOP has to say :

“SOCKSHOP understands that sometimes small feet can be sensitive, and conventional toe seams and sock welts can be bulky and tight, often meaning tears and tantrums when it’s time to get dressed. Lessen the stress of your morning routine with our Kids’ Bamboo Socks with Smooth Toe Seams and Comfort Cuffs, designed to be super soft and comfortable against little feet and toes and much loved by kids and parents alike. A range of colours makes this selection of socks perfect for both school days and for playing at home.”

If you’re interested in taking part, sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

Done! Fingers crossed 🤞

JoJo2106 · 26/10/2021 17:54

Signed up, thank you 🤞

Tsuro · 27/10/2021 13:11

These would be ideal for my 13 year old son but he wouldn’t be able to squeeze his size nines into the age 13-14 (4-5.5) socks!

Backhometothenorth · 27/10/2021 14:53

Done 👍

DinosaurOfFire · 27/10/2021 17:58

Have applied on behalf of my 6 year old autistic daughter - socks are the bane of our lives, I am not exaggerating when I say we have around 25 unused pairs in her size because they are just "wrong".

ponygirlcurtis · 27/10/2021 21:02

@DinosaurOfFire my DS9 is exactly the same, I have found the M&S seamless socks to be good for this. However, they only come in dark school colours (and they are expensive) so I have signed up for this in the hope we can try some fun socks again!

HerRoyalWitchyness · 27/10/2021 21:44

Have applied for DS2 who's autistic and struggles to find comfortable socks.

ThatDreamSheep · 27/10/2021 21:53

Applied 🤞

Rooglypoogly · 28/10/2021 07:51

Got halfway through the application only to find my 11 year old's feet are too big at size 6 :( they sounded perfect tho.

TheUndeadLovelinessOfDemons · 28/10/2021 08:32

Just waiting for one of the DC to wake up in case he wants to test them.

MisgenderedSwan · 28/10/2021 10:42

I have signed up for my dd - she hates socks and would quite happily go barefoot all year long. However, school don't agree this is appropriate!

SkunkButRug · 28/10/2021 12:03

Done 🤞

TheUndeadLovelinessOfDemons · 28/10/2021 13:33

Done

Lilyput28 · 28/10/2021 14:07

Sounds great!

RandomMess · 28/10/2021 21:34

A bit sad I can't sign up to try for myself and my hobbit feet as I find socks so uncomfortable.

jennymac31 · 28/10/2021 22:30

Done

PinotAndPlaydough · 28/10/2021 23:44

Signed up on behalf of my autistic daughter who has never found a pair of socks she likes and who complains every day about them.

ElftonWednesday · 29/10/2021 05:39

My comment is that you need to sell socks by shoe size only and not age. How many 13 - 14 year olds will have up to size 5.5 feet? Mine were already 6.5 by then, which they still are 30 years later. 12 year old DD2 is 5'9" with size 9 feet. Even her friends of average height are often size 6+. The sizes just seem really out of step with the size of kids feet these days, especially those aged 9+.

Threelionsandalioness · 29/10/2021 07:50

Done thank you X

InTheLabyrinth · 29/10/2021 11:45

Would love to partake, but another one saying I have a 12 yr old with size 6 feet, so pointless sizing.

fuckyourpronouns · 29/10/2021 12:13

Signed up on behalf of my DD too. If I can find some socks that she will tolerate I'll be their best customer!

olderthanyouthink · 30/10/2021 05:33

People who need bigger socks, they do sell bigger socks but they're in the adult section so I guess not in this giveaway. You need to look for the "smooth toe" and "hand linked" toe seams.

I've linked a couple pairs below for £7.

Cuck00soup · 30/10/2021 18:54

Signed up thanks!

As feedback, the sizing doesn't quite work for DC who have size 4 feet as the options are up to 3.5 and over 4.5.

I've gone for the larger size.

IncessantNameChanger · 30/10/2021 20:00

Done. Ds has very chucky feet so it would be interesting to see if these fit

MagnoliatheMagnificent · 31/10/2021 06:24

I agree with the others, my dd is 11 with size 7 feet so no chance for us. Bit of a shame as they sound great!
