I thought they were rather bland but my son was delighted with them.

If I did it would be for size but I’d prefer to buy a stronger-flavoured ice cream. I would never buy this for myself.

Child liked everything, I liked the tidiness of the stick for the child plus it’s small size, feels like a treat without going out

I didn’t like the softness of the wafer or the lack of chocolate, I like the size. Child did like the softness and didn’t notice the lack of chocolate, but I think they would have preferred it.

The sticks I would, ok price, convenient and feel like a treat. Plus they have chocolate.

All three of my kids enjoyed them, so we were all satisfied.

I liked that they were quite small so ideal as an after school treat. These were a perfect size for my toddler too. My little boy enjoyed holding them.

I disliked that neither product had a suitable for vegetarians sign on it and I had to email the company to check this.

Again, a nice cute size. My kids enjoyed the taste and 'sandwich' presentation. I liked how they were all individually wrapped.

At £3.50 I found them a little expensive, I might buy them on offer. My kids haven't asked me to specifically buy them again but I would consider purchasing them again as a treat should they ask.

Again, the product didn't have a vegetarian sign on it so I probably wouldn't have bought them myself as I wouldn't know if they would be suitable. I'm aware that the other product (cone) is not vegetarian which is disappointing. These things should be stated on the box and this would make me more likely to purchase.

Overall quite satisfied but dh and dd both didn’t think they were overly flavoursome.

Dh and dd both commented they really liked the chocolate coating on this but that there wasn’t enough of it. They would have preferred there to be a core of chocolate through the ice cream. The ice cream itself they found bland and not very flavoursome. I liked that the portion was small so suitable for children. It reminded me of a mini milk visually.

• What did you like or dislike about Kinder Ice Cream Sandwich? What did your child like or dislike?

Again I liked the small portion size. Dd said when she licked the ice cream it tasted of marshmallows because it was so sweet and she really liked this. Dh said it seemed to taste noticeably sweeter than normal ice creams he has and so was dubious of the sugar content. They again commented generally they enjoyed it but the flavour was quite bland.

Probably not because I would pick something cheaper in preference and if I were to spend at this price point I’d be looking at something like mini magnums as dd and dh particularly like these and preferred them to the kinder ice creams. Having said that if dd asked for them if she saw them in the supermarket I wouldn’t be adverse to buy them for her on occasion, especially if they were on special offer.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to make a recommendation but equally I woukdm’t tell friends or family to avoid. Overall dd and dh were a bit ‘meh’ about them so I would’t dash out to recommend.

Dh and dd both say something with more of the chocolate on the stick coating, for example a mars ice cream type product.

Very, we all enjoyed them.

The chocolate was tastier than expected. The ice cream itself was quite plain but went down very well. Smaller than your average lolly though, so not as satisfying as other similar products.

Nice again but very plain and small! Would make a good treat when on a diet for an adult!

Only if on special offer. We'd never spend that much on a box of ice lollies/ice creams. Even magnums are cheaper (when on offer!) - much worse for you to of course.

Me and my kids didn't like it, yet one of my kids liked it. We found the ice cream bland and tasteless. i am disappointed with this ice cream, as we liked the Kinder eggs nicer and we thought it'd replicate the same flavour. We also found it expensive at £3.50. We would not choose it as a treat as we disliked the product and it was over priced. I would not recommend it to friends for the above reasons. If Kinder was to make a new product, I would want an ice cream tub.

Honestly? No. Far far too expensive for what you get. I can buy ice lollies much cheaper and even things like supermarket own brand magnums. It just cannot compete on price.

I honestly don’t know. Taste, yes. Size and cost? Not worth it.

Something that had actual kinder chocolate in it! Without the chocolate it’s just jumping on the brand name.

Unfortunately despite checking 4 local supermarkets I haven't been able to get hold of the Ice Cream Sandwiches yet. So here is feedback for the one we did test and I will keep trying!

I loved the size; my boy is 6 and we've gotten into the habit of having a very small treat after dinner everyday. Since it is everyday I really don't want a large treat - he might have say 2 biscuits or 5 Haribo or something similar. These Ice Cream Sticks fit perfectly with that and they feel like they have more 'goodness' about them too. I had one and I like the overall flavour myself too, both the chocolate and the ice cream.

My son was thrilled to have it, he loved the chocolate covering and the taste of the ice cream. He also loved the stick 😂

Yes I would. I know a lot have commented on the price/value but there are ten in a pack and it's a perfect single serving size - I definitely will buy again. It works out at 35p a lolly so I think it's fine.

Yes, for younger children in particular which I guess it is aimed at it is a lovely treat and great size. I would def recommend (I might warn them about the price).

Ooh. Something like a small version of 'pingu' the plastic penguin full of ice cream that you get in Indian restaurants would be really cool.

I disliked the size, could have been bigger! My child liked everything.

No. They are expensive and there are better options out there for your money.

If they were on offer then would suggest buying them! Perhaps those will smaller children would benefit more, particularly the sticks, as they are a suitable size.

Thank you for allowing us to take part in this trial.
Overall if I'm honest they were both nice but I couldn't justify the actual cost if I was actually purchasing them. I also purchased the cornettos aswell as the 2 I had vouchers for.
My children loved the lollies but weren't so keen on the sandwiches but we also felt the lollies should have more chocolate on them and should be bigger in size.
I think kinder should introduce a tub of ice-cream with the great flavour like the Bueno .
Having purchased an additional product of kinder (the Cornetto) I have to say the flavour was amazing and would happily buy them again it's just a shame the other 2 products lacked in size and flavouring.
I wouldn't recommend the lollies or the sandwiches as I feel you can get cheaper and more flavoured products out there. Sorry!

Probably not as they are definitely over priced for what they are and can buy similar at a lower cost making them more affordable so based on this No I wouldn't buy them.

I liked the chocolate - did taste very Kinder like. I like the smallish size. I like the full milk. I like the calorie count. Not so keen on the flavour of the ice part. I don't like vanilla much.

Children liked it more than me - they like vanilla. They loved the chocolate taste. They enjoyed the fact that it was an ice cream/lolly - a little like a Milka but more luxurious

I thought it was fairly expensive - each lolly 35p for not very much. But then again, it took a while to eat and it is handy to keep in the freezer. I think I would buy again for that kind of smallish treat in Summer. I prefer the taste of Milka, but the children liked the chocolate touch and wuld easily eat again.

Kinder Egg - with a little toy would be nice. I like the Summer Kinder eggs with the soft filling - could that be transposed into ice cream?

They were okay, a nice treat but we expected more taste from Kinder

• What did you like or dislike about Kinder Ice Cream Stick? What did your child like or dislike? The Ice cream sticks were a bit like mini milks with a bit of chocolate and were enjoyable. The chocolate on its own was a bit bland, as was the ice cream, but together they tasted good. My child liked the added chocolate and the size of them.

• What did you like or dislike about Kinder Ice Cream Sandwich? What did your child like or dislike? None of us liked these. The biscuit was soft and claggy and the ice cream flavourless without the biscuit. I expected a small layer of chocolate between the biscuit and ice cream, similar to the inside of a ready made wafer ice-cream cone. This would have stopped the biscuit being so soft. Having a wafer outside, as we used to on ice-cream sandwiches when I was a child, would have tasted much better in my opinion. Both of my children took one bite and wouldn't eat any more. They are about the right size for children, but quite small for adults which, given the price, I would have expected them to be more suitable for.

The ice cream sandwiches just weren't very nice and the cost of the ice cream sticks, when compared to mini-milks and similar is just too high. £3.50 for 10 compared to £2 for 12 with more of a variety of flavours.

• Would you recommend Kinder Ice Cream to friends or family? Please explain why or why not. I would tell them that the sticks were good but given the price I couldn't recommend them over other similar children ice creams. I would not recommend the sandwiches

1-We were very satisfied with the Kinder Ice Creams. The portion size was as we expected and the taste fitted with my expectations of how the product would taste.
2-I liked the portion size of the Ice Cream sticks. Like other testers I thought that the taste was pretty similar to another branded milk ice cream but liked the addition of the chocolate on the top. My children both liked the taste of these. My daughter was happy with the portion size as she often struggles to finish ice creams larger than this one. They both thought that the ice cream stick tasted like Kinder chocolate in the Kinder surprise egg if you ate both the chocolate and the tip of the ice cream stick together.
3-It was a bit of a mission to find somewhere that sold the ice cream sandwich. I ended up making a special trip to the largest Sainsburys near us and managed to nab the last pack! Both initially didn't like the biscuit but then liked it more when they had some ice cream with it. They loved the ice cream inside and said it was very tasty. For the price I thought that these weren't as good value as the ice cream sticks only having six portions inside. My son thought it was a little odd there was no chocolate on the sandwiches as he associates Kinder with chocolate and expected to eat some.
4-I would choose them as an ice cream snack to offer my children over other ice cream snacks we can buy - mainly as the portion size is appropriate for both and they like them. I appreciate that they contain real milk and the different cereals in the biscuit as well as the smaller size. It would be great if these were more widely available as they would be the perfect size when out at a cafe, as well as at home.
5-I would recommend Kinder Ice Cream to friends and family for the portion size and the fact my children liked the taste.
6-On behalf of my son I would like them to make an ice cream sandwich that either had a chocolate biscuit or some chocolate chips in the ice cream or a chocolate ice cream flavour.

We only managed to find the sticks so far.

The 2 children seemed very happy with it, and I was pleased as it is a nice small, plain treat for them.

Possibly, although they are very hard to find and I wouldn’t go out of my way. If I just wanted something in my freezer in case I get an unexpected request for a treat, then yes.

I would say that we’d tried them and they were nice, but nothing exciting.

Fairly satisfied. One loved it; two didn’t like it.

DS2 loved it, mainly because he likes Kinder eggs the most. He wolfed his down. DC1 and DC3 didn’t like them at all. I tried one for research purposes and liked the chocolate, but the ice cream was pretty bland.

I still haven’t found anywhere locally that stocks them!

No I wouldn’t. It’s not tasty enough to feel like a treat. For two of my kids to turn down an ice cream is unheard of!

I wouldn’t I’m afraid. The sticks (we still haven’t found the sandwich anywhere) just aren’t tasty enough. There are treats/ lollies which are much tastier with less calories if you’re looking for something healthy.

Something more chocolatey! Just needs much more flavour.

They were OK. My children love pretty much all kinds of ice cream, however these did not particularly stand out and I thought that they were expensive for what they were.

They were also quite difficult to find, I had to try a few supermarkets before we found any in stock.

The children said they liked these, however they love all ice cream, and they have not specifically asked for these again. I thought that they were a bit bland.

Again, the children said they liked these, but they haven’t specifically requested them again and I thought they were a bit dull.

My children love Kinder eggs mainly because of the toy inside. I would probably buy any other products that you introduce which have a toy included.

I haven't managed to find any yet will be back when we do.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find the icecream sandwiches anywhere so purchased the sticks. We absolutely loved them.
