We've been asked by Kärcher to find 15 UK based Mumsnetters to put their SC2.500C Steam Cleaner to the test.

Kärcher say "The Kärcher SC2.500C Steam Cleaner makes light work of grease, dirt, stains and even limescale, delivering deep cleaning results with no chemicals or scrubbing. It kills 99.9% of bacteria with just the power of steam, and can be used on most surfaces around the home."

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters.

The 15 chosen MNers will need to be:

  • Available to receive the steam cleaner, and willing to test it over two weeks (14-27th April). Please only apply if you're available during this time.
  • Able to leave feedback on the feedback thread at least twice: we'd like first impressions and then some comments after you've used the cleaner a few times. You'll also be asked to add a review to the steam cleaner review section on MN.

5 of the 15 participants may also need to film a few videos on their smartphone (via an app we'll need you to download). Those MNers will receive an additional £50 Amazon.co.uk voucher as a thank you for filming.

Everyone who takes part in the product test and leaves their feedback as requested gets to keep the Kärcher steam cleaner after testing (RRP £ 232.09).

If you'd like to take part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 01/04/2014 12:15

Please!!!!! The Karcher steam cleaner will be the Rhett to my Scarlett, the Jack to my Rose, the Butch Cassidy to my Sundance Kid. Smile

Less dramatically, I might actually have a deeply-cleaned house for once.

I will put it through it's paces, I can definitely promise that.

I really want to try one of these. My daughters both have allergies and I struggle to keep my house really clean and dust free without using cleaning products.

duchesse · 01/04/2014 13:22

Survey completed. I have a pig load of spring cleaning to do and this would really help!

bannedyellowsheep · 01/04/2014 13:23

Ilisten2thesoundofdrums · 01/04/2014 13:23

tiggerbounce77 · 01/04/2014 13:24

Done x

Pennies · 01/04/2014 13:28

I already have a steam cleaner that I am not that impressed with. Still love the concept of steam cleaning though and would be happy to try one.

OwlCapone · 01/04/2014 13:30

Owl - did you not find it effective?

Not effective enough for the hassle of setting it up and storing it etc. Yes, it worked well but I didn't think it was worth the hassle. Good for occasional deep cleaning, too much of a pain for regular cleaning.

But I may just be lazy. :)

babyfedleaning · 01/04/2014 13:32

I asked for one for christmas but dh refused to buy such a 'bland' gift so yes please I'm dying to try one!
