Can also be used to describe a 45 year old attractive male celebrity if you’re in an online fandom, I learnt recently.

I had no idea!

magentarain · 01/07/2024 21:24

"Wow factor"

Sierra26 · 01/07/2024 21:24

Making memories
Starting traditions

Neither can be planned in advance

RareTuesday · 01/07/2024 21:25

Using "gift" as a verb. You don't "gift" something, you "give" it.

Rosscameasdoody · 01/07/2024 21:26

‘Going forward’ is my pet hate, along with ‘onboard’ ‘lush’ and ‘are you feeling me’ - just fuck off with it all !!

Imuptoolate · 01/07/2024 21:26

I ‘led’ on the bed or ‘I was led on the bed’

No! You lay on the bed or you were lying on the bed!! Winds me up every time!

Idontjetwashthefucker · 01/07/2024 21:26

Basically. My mum uses it at the beginning of every fucking sentence

Legit. Our cleaner at work uses it all the time "I was legit angry" being a particular favourite

Wine/beer/prosecco o'clock

Cheeky anything

Run it up the flagpole. My boss

Edit. Life edit, wardrobe edit.
Dropped: the album/book/really boring report (ffs) has just dropped
Aargh shut up!

And ‘curated’ when a selection of items is not part of an exhibition.

‘Educator’ instead of teacher.

IAmAnAdultHumanFemale · 01/07/2024 21:27

Realduchymarmalade · 01/07/2024 21:27

I know someone who refers to their family as their familam

ForestForever · 01/07/2024 21:27

“It was such a vibe”. I just want to shout “NO!” really loudly at them. 😫😫

Efrogwraig · 01/07/2024 21:28

Any variation on hubby etc.
Famalam
Totes (unless describing bags)

Whataretalkingabout · 01/07/2024 21:28

This list is 'awesome'.

BionicBadger · 01/07/2024 21:28

Thank you Scrilling Leaves - that is exactly the one I couldn’t think of. Curated my instagram. Grr.

Also “it is what it is”. God I’m a grumpy bugger!

Busybeemumm · 01/07/2024 21:28

Taking one for the team

EveryOtherNameTaken · 01/07/2024 21:29

You lot are 'legends'

Mmmm19 · 01/07/2024 21:29

Agree with nearly all of these but I do say grab lunch, pop and probably bite to eat - didn’t realise these would be on the list 😧 I have realised I say touch base at work sometimes but trying to stop that one 😳

Rosscameasdoody · 01/07/2024 21:29

People on SM who write ‘loose’ when they mean ‘lose’ !!

CanadaNotAMum · 01/07/2024 21:29

lonelywater · 01/07/2024 21:24

"going forward". Listen, fuckface, unless you have invented time travel we are all "going forward"-otherwise known as the future.

@lonelywater I use this all the time at work…but you’ve ruined that for me now! Going forward :) the next time I say this,I will automatically picture the other person thinking “Listen, fuckface…” and will struggle not to laugh.

Busybeemumm · 01/07/2024 21:29

Do you know what I mean ( for the 7th time in 2 sentences)
