To ask your "glitch in the matrix" moment?

Hello,

I had a glitch in the matrix last night whilst dying my hair, I took the nozzle off the bottle and put it on the sink and then I mixed the dye etc and when I went to get the nozzle it was gone, I moved everything off the sink, looked on the floor but it was gone so I managed without and then once the hair dye was on I found the nozzle on the sink on top of something I'd moved and I swear it wasn't there before! Not a major event but it was a bit weird.

Do you have any glitch in the matrix stories? (Basically unexplained events)

I remembered another one but it is easily explainable

Every year on the same rough date (first weekend in March) I have a standing weekend away with friends- it's a 5 hour drive from me - so I always leave at roughly lunchtime and always have a stop at the same services just over halfway back. EVERY year I see the same 2 famous people- it's happened for the last 12 years and they even say hello to me now. They also have a similar standing weekend !

I've told this on here before. Not matrix, but Medium related. About 15 years ago, my Mum and Dad went to a Psychic fayre in a church hall. Several mediums were there. You did not register for the event, so they had no details of anyone there. A medium beckoned my Mum over and said "I can hear someone calling out the name X. You need to tell her that the past is the past. A move of house is indicated, a good man and happiness".

This Medium quoted my name. My name is really unusual, I think I've met one other person with this name. I was the only person at school with this name. It's a name that's very very old fashioned. And yet she knew it.

My Mum didn't understand the message at all, because I was happily married and had no plans to move. Only, the thing is, unknown to anyone else in the entire world, I was not happy and that night I was on the laptop scouring houses on the internet as I was planning to leave my H.

Just a few months later, I left my ExH, moved in to my new house and met my now DH.

The Medium also said that my parents would come to own a guitar, and after that they would win the lottery. Several months later, my parents were sat in the garden at about midnight, having had a BBQ, and a guitar came flying over the fence, landing on the lawn. A few months after that they won £20k on the lottery.

I was a sceptic before, but not any more!!

Recently, I was on the coastal path, picking up dog poo (!) and a cyclist rang their bell for me to move. I was quite annoyed thinking "give me a minute".....stood up to move me and dog away, but .....there was NO cyclist.

My lovely Nan had cancer. She was fretting that she hadn't left a will. My Dad sat on her bed to make out a hand written will, and she died that very night.

Not really matrix, but certainly a bit woo.

Mine really freaked me out. I have a few pairs of similar black trousers. Put a pair on with pockets. Went to work, had tissues in my pocket so was using them, and I'd also stashes my work keys in my pocket because the clip on them had broken.

About halfway through my shift, needed my keys and went to put my hand in my pocket. Only it wasn't there, along with the keys and tissues.

At least two coworkers saw me put stuff in the pockets so it wasn't like I imagined it.

Went home and the trousers with the pockets were hanging over my shower screen. Still gives me the shivers!

I was 9 or 10 when Tamagotchis came to the UK. A few days after I got my hands on one, I was playing with it in the top bunk of the beds I shared with my younger brother when it slipped out of my hand and hurtled towards the wooden floor. I shouted something in desperation - probably 'No!' because I knew it was going to break - and it instantly stopped falling in mid-air, then slowly glided from side to side, exactly like a sheet of paper would if you dropped it from a height, until it landed gently on the ground.

I still remember my brother's mouth hanging open with amazement as we stared at eachother in silence from our respective bunks. No idea what happened, but I've still got the Tamagotchi and (as I discovered recently, which was highly entertaining) it still works.

There's clearly some sort of a glitch in the matrix that feeds into Cabinet MP Nadine Dorries' email inbox.

Apparently she announced on Sky News last night that none of her constituents have emailed her to complain about Boris.

According to many of her constituents on our local FB page, she might need to check again. Grin

When I was in my 20s and living in Scotland I went for a walk with my dogs in a forest. Half way around a woman with a Scottish widow style cape on walked passed. There were no other cars in the car park. Car was the only way to get to the remote forest.

Well, I doubt anyone will believe me! But... I’m sitting in my living room, opened this thread, thinking I wish I had something I’d experienced to contribute, when some water fell onto my feet. There’s no water anywhere and nothing above.

The timing of it as I opened the thread just adds to the weirdness.

I put down my knitting to read a post from this thread to my husband. Finished reading it, picked up the knitting, and one needle is missing! I've searched and searched, and it isn't here! I haven't moved from my chair, and we've no pets or children!
EnviroLeg · 14/01/2022 14:56

I have one. It’s not very nice either. I had an old school friend who I’d lost touch with. I’d last seen her a year or two earlier on a train coming back from university.

I hadn’t thought of her since but had a very vivid dream about her one night. I found out she’d been horribly murdered the next day.

Barbarbararar · 14/01/2022 15:05

Not a glitch, just weird. Years ago I lived with my friend, who slept on the sofa as his room was so cold. I never went downstairs when I went to bed as it then became his 'bedroom'. Apart from one night, when I woke up and started walking downstairs and through the lounge, like I was sleepwalking, nothing in my head, just moving forward to the kitchen.

The kitchen door handle was hot to touch, when I opened the door I was hit by a wall of heat and the electric grill was burning hot, bright red, like it was about to combust. He stayed asleep. I like to think it was dad, who died 5yrs earlier, getting me downstairs as he couldn't wake him up!

stupiduser · 14/01/2022 15:25

@KaiKanWhenever what happens 9 months before New Year's Eve? Is it one of your birthdays? Wink

CurryLover55 · 14/01/2022 15:49

I have posted about this before but it still gives me the chills. It was some years ago & one of the Scream movies was being advertised regularly on Channel 4. The ad would come on & at the exact same point every time, our tv would switch itself off. Must have happened at least half a dozen times. Needless to say, I didn’t go & watch that film!

Lulubum · 14/01/2022 15:51

Doesn't happen as often now I'm older, but when I was in my teens-early 20s, I'd be listening to songs on the radio and towards the end of a song I'd get a feeling of what the next song should be and that song would start to play immediately after. It didn't happen after every song, only when I felt the next tune in my head/bones. Also there would be a song a really wanted to listen to, so I'd flick through a few different stations and quite often I'd find that song playing. It wasn't current music that was likely to be playing anyways, it was music a few years old.

I like that. I like to think my parents are keeping an eye on me too.

After my mum died one of my DDs (young adult) who had been very close to her, had some really lovely dreams about her. In one of them she watched a younger version of my mum being reunited with my dad who died when I was a teenager. There was even a soundtrack-Clair de Lune. My mum absolutely loved classical music.

In my head, I think my mum wanted to show DD that she was reunited with the love of her life. I also like to think she added the sound track as it was a piece of music that she knew DD would recognise.

It was very comforting.

@SoManyQuestionsHere

When I was around 20, I saw my clone.

Mid-sized European city I'd never been to before. I was waiting for a bus. She was sitting in a tram that stopped. I spotted her through the window, she spotted me and we both just ... stared! She had the exact same face as myself, same hair colour (though a different cut). Couldn't see the rest of her as she was sitting in that tram.

Tram departed, I never spotted her again during that trip or elsewhere. But she definitely did see me, too, and was just as confused.

And, no, there is no way I could have a separated-at-birth twin sister: I grew up in a country village. The midwife who delivered me was my grandparents' neighbour. Our GP lived three doors down from us and was married to the nurse. Word would have got around. Everyone knows everything about everybody in that place.

Maybe somewhere further back in the family tree there's a connection?
CurryLover55 · 14/01/2022 16:11

I remember when my brother & I were little - I was 6 I think so he would only have been 4. We lived in a village & used to go off all over the place on our own ( very different to now). My brother fell in a pond but luckily was ok. As he clambered out we heard chanting in the distance & ran like mad for home! I found out later that there had been an Abbey nearby. Still remember the sheer terror & how fast we ran!

CurryLover55 · 14/01/2022 16:14

The post about the postcard has really spooked me. Presumably the children weren’t on the postcard when they bought it.

WestendVBroadway · 14/01/2022 16:25

@Blossombo

It has to be when all journeys (no matter how they are taken, foot, car, plane) are shorter on the way home!!

Tell me I’m wrong!

@Blossombo No you are definitely not wrong, well not in my case anyway. This seems to be one of those weird every day occuranceConfused
CurryLover55 · 14/01/2022 16:27

This is maybe more of a coincidence but it still gives me goosebumps. I used to be a carer & did the shopping for one lovely old couple. One day they were poorly so I didn’t have to go. At more or less the exact time I would have been at the butchers buying their chicken, a lorry crashed into the shop. A lady parked outside was killed & the butcher only escaped serious injury or death as he’d gone out the back. I would more or less certainly have been killed.

Housechaos · 14/01/2022 16:32

I was walking along with a shopping bag in my hand. I thought I was dropping the bag, so made movements to try and stop the falling...but in reality the bag was perfectly held in my hand. But my brain was registering this dropping and it was the oddest sensation when the bag didn't drop...everything paused for a second.

Gargellen · 14/01/2022 16:54

I have told this on on here before under a different name.
When I was younger I went through a period where I would get a buzzing sound in my head and momentarily I would see and be in a different dimension. Usually it was only momentary but on two occasions it seemed to last longer.

The first time I was standing outside our family home and the house and the row of houses it was in was gone. In it's place were the fields and trees as they had been before the houses were built.
As a PP has mentioned, the air seemed to be thick and hazy and what I was looking at was slightly swirly, almost as if under water. It was a warm day and I was able to take in that the row of trees I was used to seeing out of my bedroom window were immature by comparison and a hedge that I never knew had been there was intact separating two fields.
I looked down at my feet to see what the ground was like that I was standing on as I had been on the lawn at the front of our house and I was standing on rough meadow grass but as I looked up, it all seemed to return to modern day with a whoosh and the temperature dropped from the warm sunny day of my vision to how it had been just prior to whatever it chuffing well was that happened to me.

sallywinter · 14/01/2022 16:56

Partner big Formula 1 fan, have watched almost every race for 8 years.

Just as the lights were about to go out on the Bahrain Grand Prix 2020 I left the room, taking my 6 week old baby with me, saying that something terrible was going to happen.

The odds of a crash in F1 are fairly high but I just had the strongest feeling that the baby shouldn’t see it.

(Also, as I was typing this said baby was watching Peppa Pig. Partner comes in and says, I hate this episode can you skip it? It skipped. Everyone was miles from the iPad.)

Gargellen · 14/01/2022 17:04

The second episode I had like this I was under a lot of stress as I was on my way to an interview for a job I really wanted.

A road was closed and I had to try and find my way via unfamiliar roads.
I was hurtling along when suddenly I was aware that the road was no longer a road but a rough country road with grass growing up the middle. I had the ringing buzzing in my head so I knew I was having an episode of some sort. I just kept going even though I was bouncing about all over the place. Eventually I stopped as the track became so rough and overgrown that although I was in a Land Rover I thought I would break a diff or something. The sky and the air had the swirly heavy thing going on again as with my previous episodes.
I decided to turn the engine off, chill out and just accept I would miss the appointment for the interview and try and snap out of the episode I knew I was having. As I did that the road appeared under me, the hedges shrunk down to normal size and I was able to carry on. Quarter of a mile on was the main road and I made it just in time for the interview.
I retraced my steps but it was modern road the entire distance with neatly flailed hedges.

I was offered the job but the guy interviewing me asked me such strange questions, I knew I would never be able to work for him.
I believe I was seeing the road as it have been in the past for some reason.

Jiddereen · 14/01/2022 17:10

This is funny. Read this thread the other day. Yesterday, I was typing on the computer when some quite big drops of water suddenly fell onto my hands and keyboard. No idea where they came from. No wetness above me on the ceiling or anything like that. Reading this thread again today and have seen a few posts about drops of water suddenly splashing on people 😲
