Is this positive?!

I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

We had a lovely Christmas thanks @Fairyfield
And no one else is any the wiser!
Quite a bit of the social stuff we were due to do was cancelled because of friends and family testing positive for Covid and/or being extra careful because of Omicron. So we’ve had time to relax at home and I haven’t had to come up with many more excuses for not drinking!

Our scan is in a few weeks time so, all being well, we’ll tell family and friends then.

I’ve just been out for a lovely dinner with DH, and we’re going to ring in 2022 at home with some Appletiser for me.

Congratulations! What a wonderful start to the new year. Don't worry about being an older parent. Your DC will be very well loved. We had ours @ 40 and 42 (surprise conceptions) and loved every minute. DP and I were more secure financially and emotionally and I think that helped. DCs are students now - I can't believe how time has flown!

Thank you for all the lovely posts on this thread though.

I’m about 10+5 now. I’ve had nausea on and off, my boobs are enormous and I’m more tired than usual.
We are now just waiting to have the end of first trimester scan in a couple of weeks. I know it might sound a bit silly but we are really trying not to get too excited until we’ve reached that point.

We have had chats about baby names and who we are looking forward to telling first though! I think quite a few of our friends and family will be surprised so we have had a laugh imagining their reactions.

I will be sure to update you all when we’ve had our scan.

All very good and positive signs, even though feeling nauseous and being extremely tired are awful.
What wonderful news your family and friends are going to hear soon.
