I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.

Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?

DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

It was 15 years ago yesterday that I learnt my first fertility treatment baby was on the way. He's a sulky 14 year old now, I love to wind him up & make him even sulkier by telling him he was "Mummy's Best Ever Christmas present"

Congratulations OP. I have very low amh too, we spent years trying and £14k on failed medical treatment. Then a miracle happened 🥰

Ah congratulations Borgonzola! It’s a funny time isn’t it?! I would normally have a drink in hand for most of December. So far I’ve had to use excuses including a faux hangover, feeling rough after my booster, feeling rough after I had a cold etc etc meaning I don’t fancy a drink. We’re seeing my parents next week and I think it’ll be hard to keep this secret as they will be thrilled.

@Omgwhatthehell I've had a succession of 'stomach bugs' and 'colds' that have meant I don't have the stomach for alcohol at all

Thankfully I have morning all day sickness so I def look rough and people believe me

@emmathedilemma I really don’t want to risk telling anyone this early on. Especially as an older Mum to be.
My parents are coincidentally due to visit us the day after our scan in January though. So we can tell them in person then!

I forgot to mention, my midwife is called Holly, which I felt was fitting giving she’s helping look after our Christmas surprise.

We are absolutely keeping this a secret until the next scan. All of the family meet ups have now been cancelled over Christmas due to Covid in the family. We’d already told everyone we want a quiet cheap January and will be doing dry January, so I think we can get away with keeping a low profile until then.

For now we’re processing it together.
Rest assured I’m looking after myself. I bought the last of our Christmas food yesterday (the important stuff like chocolate orange, Yule log and more mince pies) and DH is back in the kitchen right now making brunch playing Christmas tunes. Perfect.
