Whom do you shop with?
(With whom do you shop?)

Smallsteps88 · 06/10/2020 17:24

How upsetting. Maybe you could try not doing that next week?

rosiethehen · 06/10/2020 17:25

Why would you even do that?

Buffoonery? Menopause brain, insomnia, adhd (never diagnosed but I do wonder), doing Too many things at once, the list goes on Grin

There are 34 packets of couscous in my kitchen cupboard. This comes from the time I accidentally ordered 40 instead of 4 and would not admit to the delivery driver, DH or anyone else that I had made a mistake. It is probably lucky that we don't usually order our shopping online because I would fuck it up like a boss every time.

A refund is paid to your card

ravensoaponarope · 06/10/2020 17:43

So glad it's not just me.

SentientAndCognisant · 06/10/2020 17:44

Easy done, I once had a drawer of AA when I made mistake in shop

Hahaah aw you made me laugh!!! Grin thank you - I knew I'd find some comfort here!!!

I could probably munch my way through the couscous but all those fucking batteries! Actually "fucking batteries"???? That gives me an idea - I could start a new hobby and get loads of different vibrators!

Currently I only need them for the torch attached to the dog lead for night poos 🤣

Now see, if this was me, it would be because I ordered it every week instead of just checking to see if we already had some in the cupboard Grin

Particularly galling as I'm on a big economy drive and was feeling pleased I was getting tight budget under control only for this to happen!!

Same here. I've accidentally hoarded spaghetti by picking some up 'just in case' cos I didn't look at whether I needed more.

Having said that I eat so much spaghetti, it won't go to waste.

Smallsteps88 · 06/10/2020 17:50

Yep, loads of pasta here. Also loads of mayonnaise and cereal. Confused

TheGreatWave · 06/10/2020 17:51

I once got a lot of pizzas, I have no idea how I managed it.

nikkylou · 06/10/2020 17:51

It so easy to mess up the quantities.

I'm good at fucking up the veg. I swear they change round kg / quantity on every other one, and its never the same as last time.

So I can order, 3 carrots but courgettes are in kilos. But then it
changes the carrots later, to actually you want 0.3kg but I don't...I want THREE. But next time.... I can order 3 courgettes, but carrots... have to be guesstimated as kilos.

Plus occasionally it does some stupid average thing - you want 4 peppers, but it won't let you type 4 peppers, so you have to guess and go okay - 0.5kg peppers. but its decided a pepper is 157.4556g (secretly) - you have to type 0.63kg, which you've assumed must be 4 as it goes up in 157g increments....

I can only assume it then decided to round that figure... and present me with...1 romano pepper.

I can see why no-one orders loose veg...

biddybird · 06/10/2020 17:52

I ordered 4kilos of carrots instead of 4 carrots.

daisychain01 · 06/10/2020 17:53

The past couple of online shops, I've ordered frozen spinach (which come in a bag of little spinach bundles, so quite convenient) and 2 packs of what turned out to be frozen blackberries rather than fresh - which I've made into a large crumble.

I need to stop stabbing away at the + sign and actually read what I'm buying!!

Undies1990 · 06/10/2020 17:55

I thought I ordered 4 toilet rolls but received 4 packs of 12! They came in handy earlier this year!

Mumdiva99 · 06/10/2020 17:55

I got 2 packets of bagels this week instead of 1. Two boxes of eggs when we didn't need any. No onions.....who doesn't order onions with a weekly shop?

I blame it on their app. I'm sure it only shows me some of the things I've actually selected. Lol. Never user error......
