Admittedly, the advent of Spring may have encouraged TC's frisky side, but we are all reassured to know Grumpy is a Man of Steel.

While I may have risen to challenges before (antlers anyone?), I'm afraid @Supersimkin2 your most recent suggestion is a step too far. Do you think I'm completely insane? .

Here is my nephews cat Buddy.

Thet's a very odd standoff going on in the garden at present. It started with TC approaching Basil and much growling and ears back from Basil.
The tension seems to have abated.

Hmm, that looks like a somewhat submissive pose from TC!

That looks like, "I'mma just gonna roll around over here and shuffle my way over to you. Oh dear, did one of my paws just hit you? So sorry".

About 15 minutes prior to the photos above of Basil and TC, Sybil gave TC a good slapping and saw him off.

Not sure if this had any bearing on his pose in front of Basil.

I’m not surprised it’s Sybil that deals with TC. My male cat used to get in terrible fights with a visiting cat we know as “the bad cat” and often lost. This cat would growl and spit at us if we intervened. Next door’s matriarchal female cat can get rid of him with a single dirty look. I once saw her in a stand off with him, she had him cornered and was just glaring at him. He was cowering. I went over to shoo him away and she glanced at me as if to say “I’ve got this”. I left them to it, I’ve no idea how long she kept him there.

Poor TC, rejected by his love and then warned off by his future BIL 😿

@Chemenger one of my female cats is like this; she sees off any local cats and I also saw her chasing a huge chow down the street one day
