Wasn't there recently a lost albino corn snake on MN?

Was snakey exhibiting any suspicious bulges and do you still have four cats, grumpy?

AnneKipanki · 17/08/2020 12:52

😅

BovaryX · 17/08/2020 13:05

We had a lost albino snake the next road over at the start of lockdown. Was half hoping I would find it
YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/08/2020 09:20

A few weeks ago (but later than the start of lockdown) someone did find an albino snake in their garden and write about it on MN. I'm not sure of the variety of snake, however.

Someone came and rescued it and describes it as 'obese'. :)

Oldraver · 18/08/2020 12:51

Ah was that the one that was lost by the Dad

TheSparklyPussycat · 18/08/2020 17:33

I'm thinking that is a terrapin released into the wild when someone was tired of it, or when it got too big? How big was he?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/08/2020 18:38

I assume a terrapin too. He was big - size of a large dinner plate.

OP posts:
Supersimkin2 · 18/08/2020 20:56

IMHO, size of a turtle soup tureen or cat bowl.

TheSparklyPussycat · 19/08/2020 00:23

Your cats have large bowls?

nettie434 · 19/08/2020 00:34

Delighted that the last thread has rightly made its way into Classics. I also like the new literary persona for TC as the Sad Romantic Hero.

Glad the NDNs have found their corn snake (it must be like living next to Gerald Durrell). I thought TC was more likely to have eaten it than the other way round and I am sorry for maligning TC.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 23/08/2020 09:36

The weather has been a bit rubbish so TC hasn't been around too much of late.
However he turned up yesterday, relaxing on the boat and actually seemed pleased to see me. He ran up to me, jumped on the table for a fuss - then bit me.
Ah - how I've missed him. Grin

The scamp !

Supersimkin2 · 23/08/2020 10:17

Sometimes they bite you out of sheer love.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/08/2020 10:23

He just got a bit over excited and didn’t know what to do with himself.

CassandraCross · 23/08/2020 10:31

Ah I have missed the magnificent TC, he is looking very majestic in those pictures.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/08/2020 15:15

Handsome boy!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/08/2020 15:51

TC won't let us use our car to go out...

Yes - we got very dirty looks when we left in it Grin

PaternosterLoft · 25/08/2020 18:18

How closely do you park the cars? Could he drape himself between the two to thwart all car-related abandonment?

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/08/2020 21:01

What would he have done if you’d tried to pick him up?.

EachandEveryone · 26/08/2020 01:02

Is he an only child?

BovaryX · 26/08/2020 12:20

Gosh, he really is such a regal, handsome chap! He looks like he's contemplating a test drive in more annexed territory....

Sweetpea1532 · 26/08/2020 17:37

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats

I can't remember if you've ever mentioned whether TC bites anyone else but you. I loved hearing how he jumped into the auto of your visitors and was a perfect gentleman Grin
