Read all three threads today. First day of half her and miserable weather. Joining to say you must cast Diane Morgan or Ruth Jones as Mrs K. Jim Broadbent as Mr B. Julia Davies as C.

ASimpleLampoon · 15/02/2020 18:11

Term not her

originalcatlady · 15/02/2020 18:12

Yes! Yes! To Jim Broadbent!!!

Who am I...

sunshinesupermum · 15/02/2020 18:25

You're Julia Roberts of course

originalcatlady · 15/02/2020 18:29

Oooo I think that's the best one yet!

BigFatLiar · 15/02/2020 19:11

As a fan of Last of the Summer Wine can I suggest...
Nora Batty as Mrs B
Pearl as Mrs K
Ivy as Mrs C
Edie as ocl (or perhaps Marina)
Smoker as Mr B

ASimpleLampoon · 15/02/2020 19:12

I think you should choose who plays you @originalcatlady but I would cast Miranda Hart only because I think she should be the female comedy lead in everything not due to how I imagine you from reading the thread.

BigFatLiar · 15/02/2020 19:13

Smiler not Smoker

originalcatlady · 15/02/2020 19:15

But it's much more fun finding out peoples image of me in their heads! And yes yes to Nora Batty!!

Remember Maureen from Driving School - she's got to be Mrs B!

BigFatLiar · 15/02/2020 19:31

Mrs B probably drives more like Edie though

GabsAlot · 15/02/2020 19:32

maureen! i heard she passed in the end god help us

originalcatlady · 15/02/2020 20:00

I wonder if F is still out or had to park elsewhere? There's been no drama yet Confused

@sunshinesupermum

You mean you don't have yours already???

I thought about getting out my son's old 'micro machines' and then artfully painting a piece of plywood with color-coded houses lining a street then setting it on sawhorses. Then I realized that would be bordering on 'over-involvement' and decided not to. But @originalcatlady should!!!!😆🏡🚗🏡🚙🏘🚙🚙🚗

BinkySodPlop · 15/02/2020 21:32

So, how do things stand as we move into New Neighbour Campaign - Night 1? Is moving van still there? Is their car? Is B still in X/1? Is 1/2 still free? I need to push my pieces into the correct places! Grin. Or, I could get a life.... Nah. This is more fun.

Weenurse · 15/02/2020 21:37

Pulls up chair, 🍿🍷anyone want a drink or nibbles?
I wonder why F left their space after so long?

originalcatlady · 15/02/2020 21:40

No sign of F. The van and new car are still here. I can't wait to hear B and F discussing this one Grin

How old is mrs B. Are we assuming that she's ancient but if she's still working she can't be that old!

mrsBtheparker · 15/02/2020 22:33

Oooo - like those boards and "pushers" they used in the WWII films!

I still think that we need some clever MNer to create an interactive version of the diagram. maybe we would ask those nice people over at the Daily Mail!

mrsBtheparker · 15/02/2020 22:36

Nora Batty as Mrs B
Pearl as Mrs K

No, definitely Pearl as Mrs B, she never let her bloke get away with much, she was GCHQ on legs.

Ineedanap90 · 15/02/2020 22:52

Ooo game changer alert.. Pink dressing gowns at the ready ladies

originalcatlady · 15/02/2020 22:55

I've heard Mrs K outside on the phone to colleagues/staff. She's a no nonsense business type and they are young first time buyers.

@originalcatlady
Do you realise what you have been able to accomplish in a matter of just a few weeks???
You have single-handedly stimulated the entire World's economy not only with produced goods but also by helping to create jobs around the globe! Yes, little ole you (and MN, of course). And you haven't even had to leave your desk area. First, it was the popcorn industry, next the pink dressing gown industry, then the entire movie industry, and now the little miniature car industry! And also all the industries that produce and sell these products for them...plus the untold jobs this extravaganza has created... @originalcatlady for Queen of the Universe.. (.title only with full benefits but no actually work that has to be done except you continuing to be your amazing self )

Katzia · 16/02/2020 03:59

Delurking to ask questions. Where have new neighbours moved in to? Are they likely to claim any of the spaces as their own?. OP said upthread that she thought they moved to get a bigger house, so does OP know new neighbours from before or have they just reshuffled within street? Why does A not tell people off from using his disabled bay? Why does noone tell B she is a parking dick?. ..No one surely can be scared of a woman who hasn't the intelligence to know how to park and who appears in public in a pink dressing gown. If residents are scared of her why.. what's she going to do if confronted and told to park in just one spot? Is she a secret agent who'll bump them off? Confused

originalcatlady · 16/02/2020 08:28

No, someone asked me if the old ones had moved out because of B. I said they had moved because they wanted a new house. (Although there was an issue with cars with them.)

I don't know the new neighbours.
