@originalcatlady

Why don't you report B when she blocks X? She bloody deserves a fine for parking in a disabled space!

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll....
No, no, no way could we have Brenda Blethyn playing @originalcatlady🤣🤣🤣🤣, she'd never pull it off...she will always be "Vera" in my book! Plus @originalcatlady, is so young and vibrant with an excellent sense of humour...I dont think I've every seen Vera laugh.

I do get the observation skills part though which Vera does have

@elessar I couldn't possibly. If they had an email last week about it, that definitely wasn't me.

@givemebooks , @sunshinesupermum, etc....we might be one step closer to getting our pinkdressinggown emoji@!!
MNHQ posted a thread for new lurkers to join in the fun to post. There are several prizes ( Red velvet Bailey's ! Something else, and a MN cup) to be awarded to the lucky lurker...although, I'm not a complete lurker, I am new to MN so I posted...whilst I had their attention, I figured I might as well request a pink dressing gown emoji!!! See photo...fingers crossed!

Didn't B move as soon as the van and C drove off?

Good for you JoJo2 #pinkdressinggown emoji

originalcatlady Have you never been tempted to ask C why she sits in her car for so long. Even if she's listening to a programme on the radio she can witch it n when she gets indoors, no? As for her driving off in pursuit of the van with no lights on ... the mind boggles!

We once sat in our car for over an hour, outside our own house, listening to, I think, Borg/McEnroe, neither of us would get out to go and put the radio on inside, didn't want to miss anything!

mrsBtheparker That's an excellent reason for sitting in the car but weren't you tempted to run indoors and put the TV to watch??? Oops, perhaps you didn't have a TV, in which case ignore my question!

Wonder if pink dressing gowns will sell out across the country thanks to alphabet street thread?

C was back before B. B moved to her spot as soon as C went out earlier and doesn't look like she's going out today!

Think it must have been on German TV, we were with MOD long before live TV in the forces TV, neither of us wanted to miss anything! I was fairly annpoyed, OH isn't even much of a tennis fan usually.

OP perhaps B is being collected for work like she was once before?

She really does have a thing about HER space, doesn't she? Exactly how long ave thee shenanigans been going on in your street?

Have to admit I was once similar with a next-door neighbour from hell Wink for a short time before we both moved out on the same day!

I've been lurking on this thread for a while - I think there is something wrong with the film casting - I think Emilia Clarke for originalcatlady and, if I'm right about who she is then Maggie Smith at her most cantankerous might work better for Mrs M.....

Report
originalcatlady · 14/02/2020 17:26

I like being Emilia Clarke better!

B is in 1/2, D is right up against her in 2/3. So if C cuts her car in half and sandwiches them, there will be plenty of room.

It's been like this always. My street is a never ending source of entertainment!

Would a webcam feed be overly creepy? I haven't been well for a bit and I would probably enjoy it whilst lying in bed.

"right up against"?? Is it touching? ShockGrin

Report
originalcatlady · 14/02/2020 19:26

No it's not touching...I should post a note through telling D his response is "yes but is it touching" when she complains.

I saw a note on the windscreen of a car near me today which said "Selfish fucking parking. C**t". That person needs their paper and pen in alphabet street. I didn't want to get my phone out as the local druggies were across the road so apologies for lack of photo.

I had my very first experience of school gate parking war today, I have raised two children but oddly never took them to school. I had to collect our grandson, regular picker-up unavailable, and becuase there've been a couple of lots of roadworks en route I set off early and they'd finished so I was there early. I parked in the road facing the school, the first car before the yellow line running to the corner. What an experience, a Chelsea tractor came round to corner and told me that she always parked there because her vehicle was so big. When I declined to move she wasn't happy, she couldn't go further down apparently because she couldn't turn her vehicle round. I suggested she bought a smaller car.
It was amazing though, by the time arrived for the children to come out the yellow line was full to the junction, on both sides, cars were parked across the corner and the whole village was grid-locked for a while.

@originalcatlady.....of course, Emilia Clarke would be PERFECT to play your part....I'm sure they could pretty her up a bit...... Maggie Smith in pink dressing gown at a do! ( See attached photo)
Does she favour M (in her AStreets MN watching attire) ? Or does she favour Mrs.B in her actual pink all- purpose( can be worn in or out of the house) dressing gown? @originalcatlady
See, MNHQ, this is exactly why we are in desperate need of that pink dressing gown attire emoji that we all keep clamoring on aboutGrin
