can anyone give this sweet little girl a new home?

She has been living in our wood store for the last few weeks and for the last two we have been leaving food out. We put details up on local facebook pages, leaflet dropped and put posters up in local shop etc. No-one came forward so I took her to local vet and had her scanned for a chip. Nothing there and the vet told me she has a cigarette burn on her neck Angry

she is beautiful, friendly and sweet- a fluffy tabby with the foxiest brush of a tail. Vet reckons she is around eight months old

we cannot keep her as our boy is an only cat and detests all other cats. He will go walkabout if she stays as he's done that to previous owners. She is very sweet with him and is well socialised

I live just outside Durham- please pm me if you can help

thank you

Just popping on to say how much I love this thread.

So many moaners and misery guys on MN these days. Threads like this really restore my faith. ❤️❤️

If you'd have told me last week that I'd be driving over 300 miles to get a cat I'd have actually laughed in your face and thought you were barking mad but look at me now GrinGrinGrin

CassandraCross · 26/11/2017 11:52

I think the reason this thread has garnered such positive vibes is that it restores your faith in human nature a little bit and it has a wonderful whiff of the eccentric, which the Brits seem to famed for, about it.

The Litter Tray is not without its own naysayers but they don't seem to be on this thread, if the thread had been anywhere else on this forum there would be legions of naysayers putting the boot in.

I hope you have many, many happy years with Heidi, StewPots. We ended up with a dog in slightly similarly unusual circumstances and it was the best thing we ever did, the love and joy that dog brought to our lives was immeasurable.

Would love to hear some updates on Heidi, StewPots, and well done Gatekeeper for rescuing her in the first place.

StewPots · 26/11/2017 11:54

Nearly there!!! I hope she likes us!!!

CassandraCross · 26/11/2017 11:58

She'll do more than just like you StewPotsGrin.

flutterby12 · 26/11/2017 12:00

This is the best thread ever. So lovely. Give Heidi a cuddle from me 😻

Vinorosso74 · 26/11/2017 12:00

I'm so excited to hear how it goes!

BuckingFrolicks2 · 26/11/2017 12:01

This is a wonderful threat. Stewpots and Gatekeeper you are both lovely sounding people and it is a great example the kindness of strangers. I only wish you had a 'On a Cat Rescue Mission' beacon and bell, on your car; I'm sure people would clear out of your way and you'd be there before we you know it.

I hope the cat loves you on sight!!! She damn well ought to! Loving the random motorway photos too

BuckingFrolicks2 · 26/11/2017 12:02

One more thing, you have a lovely DH StewPots - just thought I mention it as I've been over on the Relationships board and it's good to remember there are some good men about. Driving all that way for you to get a cat... good for Mr Pots, I say

BuckingFrolicks2 · 26/11/2017 12:03
