She has been living in our wood store for the last few weeks and for the last two we have been leaving food out. We put details up on local facebook pages, leaflet dropped and put posters up in local shop etc. No-one came forward so I took her to local vet and had her scanned for a chip. Nothing there and the vet told me she has a cigarette burn on her neck Angry

she is beautiful, friendly and sweet- a fluffy tabby with the foxiest brush of a tail. Vet reckons she is around eight months old

we cannot keep her as our boy is an only cat and detests all other cats. He will go walkabout if she stays as he's done that to previous owners. She is very sweet with him and is well socialised

I live just outside Durham- please pm me if you can help

thank you

This is such a lovely thread. Safe travels. Hope wee Heidi settles in quickly.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 26/11/2017 14:14

This is my favourite ever MN thread (narrowing pipping the Mabli thread a few years ago). She's going to be a very spoiled girl, Heidi. Safe journey to you @StewPots and enjoy your wine and the warm glow of having done something lovely @Gatekeeper.

Lorddenning1 · 26/11/2017 14:16

@TheGirlOnTheLanding what is the Mabli thread?

Gatekeeper · 26/11/2017 14:17

@Lorddenning1 A few years back, a MNetter took in a pregnant greyhound (or lurcher possibly) and looked after her and her litter of pups until a rescue organisation (who initially got involved via the thread) helped out getting them rehomed. It was another wonderful story of kind people going all out for animals that placed their trust in them. With multiple happy endings as the pips found homes. I'll see if I can find it and link.

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 26/11/2017 14:21

pups not pips obvs!

londonfeather · 26/11/2017 14:29

Travel safe!

StewPots · 26/11/2017 14:35

Thanks all, we are just approaching York now. Heidi doing well, pretty calm and rubbing herself on my fingers through the bars of the crate :) have offered Dreamies cat crack but no interest yet. She seems relaxed though. Is stretching out a bit more now.

PosiePootlePerkins · 26/11/2017 14:56

Yay! Safe journey to your new home lovely Heidi! Best wishes to Gatekeeper, you have done a wonderful selfless thing today. Good luck with the rest of your journey Stewpot and lots of luck with settling in your new addition. Lovely story💕💕💕⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this thread - looking forward to hearing how Heidi settles down in her new home.☺️

Toooldtobearsed · 26/11/2017 16:47

Please, please MNHQ, can we have this in classics? Two wonderful people and the most heart warming thread.
We need to see the best in people, not just the worst.

@Gatekeeper raise a glass or six to your little waif 😊

StewPots · 26/11/2017 16:47

Hehe Sherlock looks very relaxed there! We are just around Birmingham at the moment, making good time so another 3 hours to home :)

CassandraCross · 26/11/2017 16:58

I was just going to ask how Sherlock was doing, thanks for that picture Gatekeeper nothing can do relaxed quite like a catGrin.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/11/2017 16:59

I can't believe she's asleep, mines on his 19th nervous breakdown by the time I get off the drive.

I am Wel jel of cats who travel without fuss.

Sherlock does look very relaxed there.

yellowplumpreserves · 26/11/2017 17:17

Another vote for this going on Classics.

Lorddenning1 · 26/11/2017 17:56

I vote classic also :) and thanks @TheGirlOnTheLanding I shall give it a read when the dcs are in bed :)
